  1. Nice start on the mixer! The cut down fenders work well, and the stance is spot on.
  2. Great to see this build back on the bench!
  3. Glad to help resurrect this mack from the boneyard even if I only helped w the wheels! You certainly put them to good use! Hope to see this in person soon
  4. Nice save ! Gonna look great w a little dust
  5. Greatwork on your headache rack Sam. Adding more strip to beef it up looks good, and you'll be much happier than using the resin offerings.
  6. The hinges have a flange that would be used to glue to the body or door edge. I'm just returning from the Bristol night race, I'll post an image when I return if needed
  7. Happy to offer another tool we can use ! That's what makes these forums great, helping each other As far as how many trucks these would cover, hmm..unsure. I'm guessing each door is about 2 nches tall, ? I did use a small section for a frame mounted tool bin, and had more left. My door was 48mm tall.
  8. I dropped a few images for the hinges in the tip/trick forums per Gators request -

A fellow modeler suggested them after trying other types, and they worked great! They come pre assembled, ready to glue into your existing door openings, and function like the real thing! Here's a link to them, I used the 6 inch length type, the opening size is about 5mm including the glue flange !!! The item number is H100N http://www.phoenixmodeldevelopments.com/acatalog/The_Phoenix_Miniature_Hinge_Range.html
  10. First class detailing on your build! If I may suggest an alternative for door hinges, there's a place in the UK, that's sells brass piano hinges, small enough for our builds. They come assembled, just cut the length, and glue on...done. here's the place http://www.phoenixmodeldevelopments.com/acatalog/The_Phoenix_Miniature_Hinge_Range.html and they ship super fast! A 6 inch length, open size is just under 4 mm, is about perfect.
  11. Looking awesome, keep up the great work
  12. Nov 22 is the correct date for this show. There's always a ton of talented builders, and a large vendor area for finding your next project! Hope to see ya there
  13. terrific Pete! The paint looks fantastic
  14. Great pics of the mpcv 6×6 Buffalo's! ! I missed a chance to deploy to NTC in 97, shipped to S.Korea instead. Bronco makes a sweet kit of a similar vehicle... How about a drive in the Oshkosh tractor w the lowboy?? Kits coming soon for that too
  15. Well done! love the outdoor scenery
  16. Your builds are so creative, keep up the fantastic work!! Love the Daytona wing, it compliments the lines perfectly
  17. It's finished, check out under glass. Thanks for looking
  18. awesome sauce!! Lol Thanks everyone, I ll take a few outside photos once the snow recedes.I keep noticing stuff I wanted to change..next time! Kenny- my other truck is posted here too, it's a D/R dump truck slightly weathered. I usually build 1/35 so keeping them shiny is a new technique for me
  19. Thanks guys, I really like the combination of old and new on the build. This one ranks very high on the fun meter
  20. Wow, look at the size of that quarry truck!! Cool pic
  21. Thanks! Not bad for my second truck build! The light bar was sourced from the Trumpeter alf kit, the OOB parts said 1980 to me.I originally wanted a roll bar type light mount , but left the kit intact. Thanks for the lighting tip, I'll certainly use it.
  22. Thanks Tom !! I missed finishing this by the show..finally had enough snow to reach the 500 mile goal this season, then went flying by it ..yikes, almost 850 this year.Gotta love 4 strokes, no smoke, and run 4 -ever You'll put those parts to great use ! They fit perfectly in the kit spots..kinda like I planned it that way ! Be sure to post plenty of pics when you start it! Jeff
