  1. Haha thanks! hopefully I won't make you wait long for the next episode. Thanks! Those windows were drawn out a couple times to find a pattern I liked, and they still turned out narrower than I planned. I used a machinist square to cut the lines but they still needed shaping.
  2. sounds like a fun project ! always like the aerodyne cabs definitely will be following along.
  3. You have enough room for that trailer??? Lol Looking forward to your LTL
  4. Thanks Gary ? Its been a really fun build
  5. Nice update plan ! 1st time I've seen the CTM susp
  6. The bus body is one huge piece now !! I added tabs under the floor to keep the walls aligned, then soaked the joints in tamiya extra thin. The wheel openings were filled and recut before mounting the floor. The frame and axle will finally get matched to the body now. I messed up measuring from the fuzzy drawings..the sides were longer than I planned. Next to go..the roof ! Wish me luck !
  7. Fabbed up the bus heater, and the first section of roof was added to close off the front bulkhead. The heater console will get the switch panel detailed The left side wall got its battery box door and slam lock from Don Mills.
  8. Looking forward to your build !
  9. Excellent work and the colors are awesome
  10. Little update for the wknd. I taped all the body parts I had together to keep the mojo going. Everything is still roughed in, but definitely showed its going the right direction. The original axle position is incorrect now, and needs to be shifted back. Peek inside...oops floor pan was flipped around lol Added a few angle strips to tie the floor into later, and verify where my lower rub strips would need to be. I found my drawing was causing more questions than answers, so I reverted to photos and Mk. 1 eyeball.
  11. Thanks Tom ! Not your level of detail but enough to pass the peek test lol @Repstockunbelievable work ! The rounded body makes me envious lol. Thanks for sharing
  12. Perfect timing finding this post, I've been trying to decide how to make the door hinges on my school bus WIP in the rig forum. Your idea would work really well for having everything removable before paint and free to swing. Thanks !
  13. Thanks! I need to blend everything together still, trouble w multiple pieces coming together Thanks Gary I'm waiting for materials to add the rib strips down the sides. @Repstock- wow incredible work on your bus!!!! Every overlapping panel and rivets too..excellent work. Please share more photos if ya would Thanks for the tip on the glass, I've been saving materials from my daughters toys!
  14. I found a large sheet of evergreen i stashed yrs ago..I guess it was saved just for this ! The side walls were laid out and cut last night while the Bills got properly stomped by Cincinnati. Glad this sheet was 24 inches long..I needed 15 1/4 for each side Each window opening needs minor sanding, then the entrance door will be trimmed out. I'm still unsure about cutting the angle on back wall..but thats for later Thanks for all the feedback
  15. Nice work ? Heard this kit can be a big challenge
  16. Looking good!!! The KW makes a good hauler for the trailer, and their not seen much
  17. Looking forward to your CCKW !
  18. Speaking of that windshield, I built the sign/ light panel to finish off the front. I attached it, then noticed several spots that don't fit tight. Couple thin shims later tightened things up. It was the moment of truth, would it look right with the flat cowl and hood ? Everything needs final blending, but I'm pleased I'm planning to have the entire top removable, showing the interior. Splitting it right behind the front light panel should work. I lucked out that Daniel from plaskit has a mold for bus seats, and is casting a bunch for me, saving a ton of time ! Thanks for looking, and comments or criticism welcome
  19. @TarheelRick- yeah the angled windshield is more common on newer buses. I'm using a 95 bus as my main reference, and the drawing. I wish I'd stuck w flat glass...this has been a challenge!
  20. Slow week at the bench, but finally have a decent windshield frame. I added half round strip to replicate the seals, and curled the edges making a pseudo A pillar. While that dried, I found a suitable screen material for the cowl vent. Its actually plastic screen from tamiya for a 1/35 tank lol. Now to hopefully combine all these pieces making up the front, and start on the large sides Jeff
