  1. I'll be watching this !
  2. Thanks! I scored a pile of flexi straws yesterday while having lunch w my Dad, funny how modelers see supplies while drinking ice tea !! Thanks I wanted a daily used look after watching clips of these trailers in use. They get dragged thru worse conditions then NY pot holes
  3. Well, the trailer is almost finished! Just need to adjust some sloppy weathering, and make a couple decals. I don't care for the yellow appearance I noticed after the photos were taken..easy fix. The working portion of the trailer is my favorite. Its done w multiple layers of pigment powders, different shades of very thinned paint, and damp rags w thinner to remove base colors. Thanks for everyone following along! I promise I'll wrap up the KW soon
  4. You could always just drop it off at a certain person's work, and he could spray it for ya...lol He's probably playing whack a ball in a gopher hole right now or choo choo...
  5. Looking forward to your progress ?
  6. Looking forward to the direction you chose w the Blue Oval
  7. I curious, would this type loader be transported w wheels mounted or removed and installed at the job site ? I've seen photos of large quarry equipment hauled in pieces, got me wondering Either way, we know the Brockway has plenty of pulling power for it !
  8. Fantastic work on the tracks, such an improvement
  9. Thanks everyone for your feedback I really appreciate the comments. Such a loss not having the reflective tape available now, after what seems like a renewed interest in trucks/ trailer builds. @Mopar - D I won't have a retractable tarp, just a set of sideboards around the hopper. I realized an error after hanging the doors, dummy mistake too. I didn't leave enough room for paint on the cylinders so they bind up right now. I'll tweak those then be back w a fair update
  10. Thanks The reflective stripes were from Line O tape, the last roll I had. Found out they closed their doors too..lousy news I could source more from rolls of tape available at hardware stores, and have enough for 5 lifetimes lol
  11. Excellent work on this IH ! Impressive work with your 3d print, definitely the direction our hobby is headed in a good way after seeing what can be accomplished
  12. Great job on your restoration! Thats a nice looking DM
  13. Excellent work, looks fantastic behind your rubber duck mack
  14. So many excellent builds waiting there turn being finished up!
  15. I wish I had seen those CTM hose fittings after making mine, so much nicer. Your interior looks great, those PE sets make a world of difference, especially in the office. Armor builders have been treated to PE forever, glad it is finally making its way to rigs
  16. After reading about all the issues people have w Rustoleum paint, I can now see why it shouldn't be used. When Line-O-Tape peeled it off in sheets, I almost stripped the entire build. I decided to push thru the problem, I'm too far along now. A couple touch ups will suffice. CTM trailer lights and reflectors set worked perfectly, and gives a modern look I really like. I'm not building a show trailer, more daily used kinda build. The hopper was sprayed w a random mix of tamiya paints, creating a old steel base color. More rust and dirt tones will be added over this, then the entire trailer a dusty wash. I hope it turns out like I plan...nothing like screwing up a build after months of work if it goes south! Thanks for following along!
  17. Excellent work Jeff ! I can't get over the details on the Detroit engine, compared to kit offerings this is a huge improvement. I order from Paul quite a bit, very pleased w his selection
  18. Thanks ! I kept changing my mind about color..yellow or white. Finally settled on this @BK9300 honestly unsure what equipment was used to cut the sides out. If I hear anything I'll let ya know for sure
  19. I sprayed the trailer this morning, Rustoleum white enamel that was sourced locally. I expect the paint to take several days to cure enough to handle, then start adding the plumbing and lights.
  20. Wow I'm blown away how nice this looks
  21. That would look really sharp pulled behind one of your Brockways! Sorry its that time of year again when the Huskies come back to Cortland lol everyone around here has sled dog fever this weekend
  22. Nice rebuild! Glad to see you remove all the ridiculous chrome this kit has
