  1. Very true, and just about any of the Round 2 kits could get the police car treatment. Any number of old Fords would work for cashing on Mayberry nostalgia And of course, I'm just fine with a reissue of the Gangbusters Lincoln.
  2. That T has my attention. I'll definitely be getting one of those when it hits the shelves.
  3. Whatever you do, it will be wrong, so don't try.
  4. That's a good question. I just read that a good chunk of Aston-Martin's revenue comes from licensing. If it keeps Round 2's doors open, and it keeps them cranking out models, I'm good with it.
  5. This one right here: And since Alfas are technically Mopars now:
  6. One of the best looking of the classic era. Thanks for sharing!
  7. The trick with the lightbulb method is that you don't have to melt it, just weaken it. Just apply gentle pressure while holding it near the bulb, and it will bend.
  8. I'm a Mitchell fan too. He had an eye for line that had few equals, though there are a few Earl designs I like.
  9. I have one of those on my build pile. Red always struck me as the natural colour for a TC, but that could just be from reading The Red Car at an impressionable age. The comment about chroming wire wheels is interesting in light of how the classic car crowd seems bent on chroming every wire wheel in existence. It looks like either a Humbrol or Model Master dark red would be a close match for the engine.
  10. You could make one cleat, make a mould, then cast as many as you need. Plastruct hand evergreen both have channel section styrene, and you can get miniature bolts from the model railroad section of your LHS
  11. I checked one of the LHS websites, and the Firebird is already here. An interesting trend is that the new Revel offerings average around $5 CDN cheaper than the Round 2 kits.
  12. I've seen those. Early was definitely losing it by then.
  13. In case you ever looked at a '58 Olds and wondered what they were thinking, now we know. http://www.deansgarage.com/2019/1958-oldsmobile-story/
  14. Seriously, trends come and go, and honestly, I'm not crazy about most of the custom options the model companies have foisted on me over the years. It didn't matter because they had the parts to build into something I did like. At first glance, it looks like you can build a very nice stock Firebird, and it's not like anyone's forcing you to use the parts you don't want.
  15. Sorry, but everyone has to stop liking things I don't like, and they have to do it NOW!
  16. It's one of those those rare designs that was offbeat, but still looked good. Too bad it never entered production.
  17. I don't understand why the patina crowd thinks that dradged from the bottom of a lake is an attractive look. Maybe it's not up to us to understand.
  18. And for a mere $5K extra, you can personalize your VIN. https://www.carsdirect.com/automotive-news/2020-chevrolet-corvette-buyers-can-customize-their-vin?src=20&lnk=TnL5HPStwNw-lAuNWUsKMa1Ti%2FapIO%2FUDA
  19. I'm interested, but I see you will only ship to certain countries. Is Canada one of those countries?
  20. The point is, as snarks go, it's such a lazy snark.
  21. And sometimes, you have Ferrari aping Corvettes, like this Ferrari NART Spyder.
  22. And they're all round wheels. Really, how lazy is that?
  23. That is pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing!
  24. That is very nice. Not many models out there really do the E type justice.
