  1. thanks all Dan, I do think this will be back on the bench after the titan and hauler are done.
  2. Kevin, looking good, that color looks sweet. try a few more coats of clear and see how deep that finish looks, I think you'll like the results.
  3. Joe, you're out of control again it's ok though, I am buckled in for the ride on this one as well
  4. I used testors 'liquid' cement/glue and used some thin sheet styrene to reinforce the joints.
  5. wow, I dread moving models to a show, let alone 1/2 way around the world hope you can get your new space settled quickly and get back to building soon.
  6. Dan, ya weather seems to change every 5 minutes some days, lol. Gator, thank you.
  7. another beauty, my goodness that's nice. I would like to see about 100 more pictures of this one
  8. wow, just wow.....great looking rigs, everyone of them, excellent work!
  9. ok, it's been two days, where is the update??? j/k, looking good, just can't wait to see more.
  10. great start, cool idea as well. love the look so far.
  11. Dennis, man, you are not scared, you just jump in and make it happen! awesome work so far, this is going to be a sweet trailer when done.
  12. Clayton, don't let the blue oval stop ya, I bleed chevy orange too, but I have a lot of fords and mopars in the stash, they are all good in plastic
  13. wheels look terrific! got my fingers crossed for you on the paint job
  14. thanks guys. Dan, I was almost going to PM you about the painting part, but the more I looked at the parts, I thought, no way am I painting this as one assembly, way too many odd angles and such. plus I am using rattle cans, so spot precision is out, haha. so, here is todays bit of progress, this is the base of the trailer in front of a '53 foot moebius trailer, I really didn't think it was this long..... and my first go 'round with air brushing alclad on the tanks, thanks for following along, stay tuned........
  15. those are some nice 'classic' kits out of your stash look forward to seeing progress on this, you found all the pit falls of this kit on the site, so I think you'll be in good shape as you go
  16. Mike, thanks Jeff, I used BMF on the straps, then outlined them with a sharpie micro pen. I hate doing fuel tanks, such a time consuming part of the build, I like easy body work, lol. I really need to get back to this build.....
  17. Justin, great looking build. hopefully a new plow means the snow and cold are done with
  18. Mark, great score. I'm lucky enough to have one of those in my stash as well.
  19. wow, some spectacular builds in those pictures, thanks for sharing those.
  20. Pat, looking good! engine looks fabulous. I usually give a good bubble bath after brake fluid to make sure it's all off the body/parts. all the exhaust options could look good, but I gotta say, I kinda like JT's idea. out the bumper would look cool.
  21. here is sundays update, interior is pretty well done, going to use the closed curtain once it's in the truck, let's face it, the bunk detail is minimal and you can't really see any of it once in the cab, so, curtain it will be. I also got the tanks painted in alclad along with the air intake tube. I think once buffed out a bit, the tanks will look quite good [i hope]. interior, and I started 'phase three' that bit of the trailer is now in color and drying, I like it so far. thanks for following along, stay tuned for more..........
