  1. that is a fantastic looking model, well done.
  2. and my favorite, thanks for looking.
  3. This all started as simple idea, but took 4 months to complete the cars, the rig and car hauler trailer are still under construction in the trucks section. The cars are all the Baldwin Motion kit from Revell, I used PE sets, plug wire and flocking from 'The Model Car Garage', heater hoses, alternator brackets, wire looms and speaker grills from 'Detail Masters'. Paint is a mixture of GM spray touch up paint and testors lacquer finishes. GM Crystal red tint metallic, GM Luxo blue metallic, testors Nassau blue, testors hugger orange, testors graphite dust, GM Green O'clock metallic. continued..
  4. Man that's sweet! Great looking rig!
  5. I like it! Now, on to the hounding, lol, need to see more of this......
  6. Great idea with the tire stuffing, revell kits would really benefit from this as they are some soft tires.
  7. In my bay at work, a brand spankin new 2015 vette Z06, metallic blue. Hefty price tag.....a touch over 93K.....
  8. nice job, that's a cool looking tow rig
  9. looking good, cab looks great!
  10. that's an acre of purple! as Clayton said, this thing is gonna pop when cleared! looking good Dan.
  11. look forward to the process, will be watching.
  12. thanks guys Dan, ya, I just set the ramps up there to get them off the table at that point in time, they will go underneath afterward.
  13. Jeff, testors 'gloss wood' spray enamel, then covered in testors lacquer dull coat.
  14. fantastic looking rig, and I must admit, the white walls are growing on me
  15. thanks guys phase two is rolling along pretty well also, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=97349 still haven't had a good opportunity for outside under glass pic's yet.
  16. Dan, the lines shouldn't be too bad, as the kit outlines where they run. and yes, I have put the cars on to get a 'look', hit one snag on that.....side pipes are a bit low on the cars, so the rear car on the lower part won't sit right due to the angle of the ramps, but I have figured out what I will do for that. todays bit of progress....it now rolls made one fatal mistake, due to not paying attention, I have the rams and beams mounted backwards on the rear most ramps that run to the bumper, I couldn't remove the mounting points for these off of the bumper without ruining something, so I am running with it
  17. Dan, looks great, good idea with the upper platform for viewing. I have to figure a guy with your talent can make a few lawn chairs, that should be easy after all the other stuff I have seen of yours.
  18. I actually laughed out loud at that
  19. in 15 years, this truck will be 'old school', lol. automotive technology is really making strides in hybrid stuff, this truck has a lot of features of the chevy volt and other electric cars. cool concept drivetrain-wise [and lets face it, fuel savings has got to be the number 1 issue with trucking], but I am not sold on the 'look' of the truck, but ya gotta be streamlined.
  20. Paul, thanks, I fall into some cool stuff every now and again Sean, I like it! I got a few shelves that are starting to look like that. .....if 2 is good.......3 must be better,,,,,,,nope, odd number.......better get atleast one more.......then again, 6 is a nice round number..... that seems to be my shopping motto anyway.....haha......
  21. hehe, I too can't get enough of 'the shine'. looks great Kevin. the part you're really going to like is when the car is all together, and the polishing you did on the paint/clear makes it look almost like it's metal once the car is complete. keep on keepin on, looks great!
  22. another winner Chuck, I really like this one, well done.
