  1. JT, thanks for those pic's, that is one fine looking trailer! if I don't use that scheme on this one, one of my box trailers is for sure getting a paint job similar to that. I surfed the internet looking for trailer pic's, but couldn't find many good ones. this weekend should provide something i'm thinking......stay tuned.............
  2. great build, and fantastic photo's. I am starting to really like these 'Euro' trucks, have a few of them on order, just waiting for them to come in the mail.
  3. wow! that looks great, fantastic job. only thing I would suggest, fire the driver......the air/electric lines aren't hooked up, that load will be a handful down the road j/k, beautiful job.
  4. still rolling ideas around, I want it predominately white with some gold. if I the weather is crummy this weekend [like they are saying it's gonna be] I may shoot some paint on it and play around with some stripes/schemes. I will just have to make a bigger purple pond if it goes bad, haha.
  5. absolutely stunning.....................
  6. just read thru all 6 pages, wonderfull transformation of this kit! I gotta say, I like the body color [gorgeous on this car], and was a bit alarmed at the engine bay color.............until the body and motor were in there, then it just gelled beautifully. fantastic work so far, keep at, the honey-do list can wait
  7. looks great so far, this is going to be a nice build when you are done. any more progress?
  8. I just absolutely love that, just as it sits, that just speaks to me for some reason.
  9. great looking build! love the color choice, excellent combo. trailer looks spectacular as well! only thing I see that is 'odd' to me, the chrome mud gaurds in front of the rear wheels look to be on upside down, was this on purpose, or? looks cool actually, but looks as though they would drag on the pavement in real life.
  10. thanks guys still racking my brain to figure out what to do with the trailer color scheme. having said that, if you have any ideas, feel free to throw them out there, kinda stumped at the momment.........
  11. welcome back, took me 20+ years to build again, and am loving every minute of it! and welcome to the forum, great place, great folks.
  12. Greg, that bonney and boat are too cool!!
  13. another stunning model, beautiful job. just beautiful.
  14. only detail on a cop car I notice, is if the lights are on when they are behind me! lol. unless you're building it for a competition and have pictures of the exact car you are replicating, then artistic license is the way to go......it is supposed to be fun after all
  15. cool, can't wait to see some updated pic's. I too have since started building one of these kits, so far I am loving it for fit/finish, a far cry from the old amt kits, lol.
  16. got most of the interior parts painted and two toned, and I stole JT's roof cutting idea as well [no sense in hiding that interior] I am thinking maybe tomorrow I will start the motor/chassis so I can get most of the big stuff painted. still working on coming up with a paint scheme for the trailer.......
  17. something for a 'sometime in the future project....'
  18. motor looks awesome, added plumbing detail looks great as well, keep at it, coming together great.
  19. lol, these kits are ridiculous, at 14 years old when I did my first one, I was like, oh man that kicks butt, but at 44, I was like, wtf?? hehe...
  20. Stan, I got foil and fresh blades......
  21. looking good, great paint/lace/decal job, foil is really gonna make this body pop!
  22. thanks for the comments and especially the tips guys, much appreciated Steve, ya know, i have been giving that some thought, i have some old paint masks from my r/c days, was thinking of maybe using some of those on the trailer side to integrate some Inca gold into the trailer, just something subtle to tie it together, and maybe use the 'swoosh' stripes in the rig kit somehow as well to tie the colors in. time will tell............
  23. keep watching e-bay, and hope someone is asleep at the wheel, some times you can score a deal. as mentioned though, these kits demand some coin from what I have seen on the bay. I too wish a lot of these kits would be reissued, every time I turn around it seems I see a kit I had not seen before, and the wheels start turning............
