Anthony, thanks. I used bits of frame rail from a diamond reo kit, one cross member from same kit to tie the end rails together, and cut the daylights out of another cross member to 'make' some gussets at the 'scab' point. probably not even close to real life, but I like how the frame came out.

well, we are almost to the point of wrapping this one up, I know, that was quick...right? lol! the progress so far.... I think i'll have it done by the weekend, and start on another adventure.........

did you hit the show today? I spent way too much on plastic...... some of the rigs looked fantastic! the lonestar w/featherlight was amazing [to pick out just one], and some of the cars had amazing detail. I really enjoyed going, got a lot of ideas for future builds.

I was done spending last week, got these today, don't kid yourself, once your in, your in.........haha......[ask me how I know...]

the decals are 'factory' so to speak, they are included in the kit.

haha, wow, amazing how similar the stories are. I too have been there/done that with fire, fuel, firecrackers, demo-derby and all sorts of other mayhem. as usual, if we knew then, what we know now...

making progress in the new build area little mock up of sorts feels good to be going forward again, and it's starting to look like something rather than a bunch of assemblies laying around.

haha, nope, no log cabin, when I did that room a few years back the kid picked out the paneling and said, hang it sideways so it looks like a log cabin, so that's how that happened [thought no way at first, but it does look sorta cool]. 6 months from now it's going to look like a tornado went thru, if I remember, I will post a picture it's just nice to finally have a room for me and my junk. thanks for looking.

hey all, I finally have a spot for all my 'junk', lol. I had been relegated to a corner in the dining room due to lack of space in the house, but my daughter moved out, so I now have a room all to myself got everything in there, organized, and ready to get some plastic glued together

Kevin, good points. hadn't thought of the built storage thing, and ya, the rig guys would love way more rig related new stuff.

a 66 elco a 66 wagon and a new build room! my daughter is moving out, so 3/4 of her stuff is out of the room, and 3/4 of my stuff is in the room, lol. hope to have it set up fully by the end of this coming weekend. scored a sweet heavy duty table from work i've had in the garage waiting to go into this room, it's 6' x 3', plenty of build room on it!, and another smaller table to put the paint booth on, and i'll have room for the display case I scored a few weeks ago as well. i'll even be able to get the hoard out of the closet [the wife will be pleased ]
