  1. Thanks for the ID guys. Steve, they belong to a buddy of mine, but I have told him of your interest in them, when I hear back from him, I’ll let you know. thanks again everyone, I knew you’d know.
  2. Wondering what kits these seats are from, I know you guys will know.
  3. Few years back I had a Silverado come into the shop with a complaint of oil consumption, truck had 28,000 miles on it, it was low on oil, put it on the lift to look for possible leaks, dry as a bone, then noticed the filter had a red label on it......., 28,000 miles with no oil change!
  4. Happened to do a first service on an equinox today, so took some pics of the filter labels, the red one is the ‘factory original’ the blue one is on the ‘new’ filter.
  5. 250 isn’t bad really, I had a 71 Camaro SS 350 that was rated at 270hp......and got nowhere near 20mpg, lol.
  6. The ‘new’ V6 motors make more power than the ‘old’ V8’s, and are way more friendly in terms of drive ability and fuel mileage , hard not to like that....
  7. I did some reading about it, thought I’d give it a try, glad to hear another positive response about it.
  8. Hobby lobby purchases today, can’t beat the price on the metalizer paint set.
  9. Great looking car! May it always get you where you’re going. always loved the looks of those .
  10. I think the frames were coated in what’s called cosmoline or something to that effect, it’s a clear/yellowish substance that prevents corrosion. I’ve been working as a tech at GM stores for 30 years, every thing new that has a perimeter frame, the frame is black, I would guess chemically coated more so than painted. Pretty much all the stamped steel suspension parts are also black. Tie rods and such would be black or natural metal or a combination of both. these are my observations after being under thousands of brand new vehicles. also of note, GM spin on oil filters have a different colored label on them from the plant than replacement filters have.
  11. Mine should arrive Tuesday .....
  12. Gotcha, I thought maybe it was just a decal thing, I have the bed buggers, but I’ve never had any of the race trailers
  13. Were those changed into the race trailers?
  14. The ‘metro’ single pup trailer hasn’t been reissued, granted it’s the same trailer as the doubles, but I don’t think it’s been out as a single kit again.
  15. One way or another, they are going to find you....
  16. Sweet, I’ve got two of them on preorder from model roundup, looks like maybe they will be here soon.
  17. There is a pinned topic in drag cars forum here that addresses all that stuff, tried to post a link, but not smarter than my phone, lol
  18. Easy off oven cleaner works well for chrome removal, I use the stuff with the yellow cap. Some chrome is plated better than others depending on the kit. You will need a container with a lid when using this.
  19. I agree with everyone else, colors really work well together, fantastic looking pair you have there. and, welcome to the ‘dark side’, haha?
  20. Very nice work on this rig! The opening doors are a great touch, these kits have such a nice interior that disappears once stuffed in the cab. Sharp looking rig.
  21. Well done ! I really like your weathering, not overdone , it just feels right. Fantastic build on that giant piece of equipment.
  22. That is a gorgeous build, love the colors. Personally, I’d have a talk with whoever is putting fuel in this truck, they seem to spill quite a bit?
  23. Realize I didn’t answer your question, i would use the moebius trailer, I’ve used it behind a few 1/24 builds, they are great trailers.
