  1. I’ve been mixing and matching both scales, here is my FLC with an AMT tanker
  2. Another amazing build from your bench, absolutely gorgeous, well done!
  3. Great job , you’d never guess that was a 24hr build . Came out great!
  4. Thanks guys , it was a fun challenge. my plan was to do a snap kit for the ease of it, and knew full well it wasn’t going to be much detail. I cut everything off the trees, cleaned all the parts, built the engine, then primed everything, after that was dry, I separated all the parts into ‘color groups’ then painted. I put the cab in my dehydrator so I could two tone it quicker. We ran from noon Saturday to noon Sunday, so I wanted everything ready to put together the next morning, cause I wasn’t staying up all night , lol. It went quick , and I ended up with a nice shelf model.
  5. Thanks guys, it was fun, but nothing I want to do again anytime soon, haha.
  6. I checked that out, great looking build, you nailed it!
  7. Excellent build in virtually no time! Well done!
  8. Group of friends decided to do the 24hr build outside of the Facebook thing as we aren’t on Facebook, so I picked this snap kit figuring I could probably actually finish it. I got it done in time (actual time of about 11 hours), it’s not perfect, but I really like it, and the memory of the build will surely stay with me for quite some time. Hope you all like it.
  9. Thanks guys, it was a fun challenge. Here are a few pics of my buddies completions. The galaxy was done by one of my buddies 12 year old son, did the entire build himself, paint, foil, the whole thing. In the last pick, the Datsun is done, the Willys is 90%, but looks done.
  10. Dan, I will see if my buddies will let me post what they’ve built. calling it done , have roughly 11 hours in it, obviously not perfect, but will look great on the shelf, and will be a cool reminder of building with good friends, albeit thru a ton of text messages . Hood has a bunch of dust in it, but given the time frame , I had to go with it. thanks to all for following along on my shortest ever WIP?
  11. Ok guys, it’s 9:42 here on the east coast, this is my last update for tonight . Windshield gasket is painted, hit the inside of the cab with some craft paint that’s a close match to the interior color, cab lights are painted as well as the tail lamps, fuel tanks are painted as well. I should be able to wrap this up in a few hours in the morning......, I think. Thanks for following along and showing interest on this quickie build, see you tomorrow with the final installments.
  12. Great looking KW, that was my other choice, but the 359 won out this time around.
  13. lol, I see now a couple of those pics are fuzzy, have been kind of in a hurry, haha. And no on the race, watched some golf and some family guy on Hulu.
  14. Lol, no extra, actually no anything? just a fun thing between a few friends. My buddies are making good progress on their builds as well. My plan was to get everything painted and somewhat detailed so in the morning I could pop it all together. I have to clear the cab, finish the dash, paint the tanks and foil the straps on the air cleaner and luberifiner, will have to do the windshield gasket and door handles in the morning. I do have a rolling chassis now ......
  15. Thanks guys, about 5 hours in now, cab I think is ready for color two after an hour in the dehydrator, got a few more bits detailed up. Still have fuel tanks to deal with and need to do work on the dash yet, stay tuned .....
  16. Thanks, it’s moving along pretty good so far. Had to change out the green for the frame, went with sublime green, as I had more of it than the other bright green , didn’t want to have a shortage in the middle of the project, lol. Got a lot of stuff in color.... cab is in the dehydrator to speed cure time so I can two tone it, and I know this kits engine isn’t a green leaker, but alpine green went with the overall color scheme, it just seemed the way to go?
  17. So, some buddies decided to do a 24 hour build ( same rules as the Facebook 24hr build), but as we aren’t on Facebook , we would do it amongst ourselves. I picked the snap kit as I figured I might actually finish it in the allotted time frame and still have a half way decent looking build. So at noon today, I started thrashing, lol. Hopefully this won’t be a long build topic...., stay tuned, it’s going to go fast , I hope...
  18. Having built 4 of these , I have yet to build a replica of the 1:1 I had....
  19. Fantastic work on this, looks fabulous so far! I was out of work due to Covid for 13 weeks early in 2020, it’s amazing how fast you can build when you have an extra 8 hours a day to play with......
  20. I’ve built 4 of these kits, they are great. When you’re done, it looks like a 66 chevelle.
  21. Some aren’t as bad as you’d think, if you look for my Covid builds post there are a few 1/24 rigs with 1/25 trailers. Although I do agree, more trailer options would be nice .
  22. Order with confidence, great stuff and usually ships pretty quick.
