  1. Yes, these AMT rig kits can be challenging, but do actually build up very nice with a bit of patience. As far as pins to locate things on these kits , those that remain are useless due to age of the molds, as the pin/hole are not quite where they should be anymore. It’s 50 year old molds, us guys that build them understand it takes a bit more work than usual to make them nice. If you’re looking for a more precise fitting big rig kit, check out Italeri, they offer some US rigs that build up very nice, parts are crisp, fit well, and usually have no flash. They are multi part cabs, but the fit is very good. Downside is the price, but it is what it is I suppose.
  2. .....idiocracy......
  3. Lot of cool looking choices for 2021, I think I’m going to do this combo,
  4. All I heard in that video was they had a big rig in development that was going to knock our socks off, no mention of new tool or anything. now, having said that, given the fact that there are a lot of movie tie ins to a lot of the releases, maybe we will get lucky and it will be a version of optimus prime from the transformers movies?
  5. May have to go Euro this time around.....
  6. Well, you know I’m in, gotta scour the stash to see what floats my boat....
  7. I can tell you that space was a premium on my 1:1 55 fairlane , the headers themselves fit fine, they are shorties, but the exhaust pipe itself on the drivers side had barely enough room to fit between all the stuff on that side.
  8. That Coronado kit was so bad that after putting together a few of the parts, it got boxed back up and put on the shelf......., total disappointment....., even after knowing the origins and age ......, be quicker to scratch build one out of wood...., and probably look better.....
  9. I’ve used the revell 67 chevelle pro street chassis or parts of it under a few different builds. With a little slicing and dicing it’ll fit almost anything.
  10. Fantastic job on this project, you really nailed the look. Your 1:1 is gorgeous as well. I really need to get back to building /finishing the replica of my 2004 commemorative edition convertible .
  11. That’s looking sharp, you’re off to a great start.
  12. Oh man that looks good, that’s really going to pop once the chrome bits are on it.
  13. .......so, how was your day at work......... lol. Cool video, those guys are nuts....
  14. Pretty sure it’s enamel. I have a few cans of it myself, did some tests with it, was not impressed.

  16. You make it look so darn easy, lol. terrific mods that are so subtle it IS hard to see the difference without the side by side comparison, great work so far.
  17. And thanks for all the kind comments guys, much appreciated.
  18. I used to get them from double take replicas, but sadly, KJ isn’t making parts anymore .
  19. To be honest , after it’s dry, I wear gloves to attach them, then never touch them. So far though, all the tanks I’ve done still look just as good as the day I painted them.
  20. Love the color , and that interior is gorgeous, well done!
  21. What a cool rig, I really like the color scheme as well.
