  1. I busted open a kit and took a look. There is a gap between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the tail lamps/trim that looks as though it should not be there. This is causing the gap under the tail lamp caps you see from the side. Thought of cutting the bumper off and moving it upwards , but then that would leave a gap under the bumper where it meets the end of the lower portion of the quarter panel. I suppose you could cut the bumper off, then taper the lower quarters to meet the new bumper height, but that could throw the look off even more. Need to hunt down a good side picture and compare the quarter panel taper in that area.
  2. Those races have been posted before, quite entertaining.....
  3. I could be totally wrong, but the only ‘road wheel’ I’ve seen from GM with no trim ring was on the Pontiac GTO.
  4. Sadly, once you get the interior into the body, you can’t see 95% of it....
  5. Just read this whole thread, simply amazing work going on here. I don’t know how you do it, but you raise the bar on each of your builds. Fantastic!
  6. Looking good. If you think 2 at once is fun, a few years back I did 6 at once. I really felt like I had an assembly line going.
  7. Another guy here that uses rattle cans, was quite a learning curve, but I get pretty good results now. glad you had fun building with your son, that’s awesome !
  8. These came in the mail today along with some paint.... I have another 68 to build, so I think I’ll do a set of ‘twins’ as it were
  9. Wow, that’s sharp! Well done, you nailed it.
  10. Well, you don’t have to build it with the refer option...
  11. Wouldn’t that be ET? ?
  12. Wow! Score of the year right there!
  13. No pic, but saw a C8 vette on my way home yesterday, I must say it looked good going down the road.
  14. I have a bunch of r/c stuff, most of which I haven’t touched in ages. I have several HPI savage trucks , a couple of nitro m/t’s, an HPI hellfire, a storm buggy, a losi lst2 and a traxxas snap on truck. Currently only have recent pics of the snap on truck.
  15. Happy anniversary! my wife and I are heading towards 30...
  16. So sorry to hear Carl, you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers .
  17. I ran out of space, so used the back of the door to my room.
  18. As much as like to have a magazine in hand, who really needs it? As was mentioned before, this very place has more content than any magazine could ever offer ( although just as difficult to find as searching thru piles of magazines at times). Things change, and we slowly change with them. Remember the joys of figuring out how to surf the web? We all got thru that, things will be fine ......?
  19. You never know, a few other ‘lost’ or ‘destroyed’ molds are showing up or getting repaired , and stuff we never thought we would see again has been reissued......, there’s always hope........
  20. Looking good! Love the color scheme you have going on the trailer, very sharp.
  21. This is looking great, lot of great ideas on how to get things done as well.
  22. Looking good! Kiss that shelf space goodbye, lol, us truck builders kill display space at an alarming rate, haha.
  23. Got 3 of these on the shelf , maybe time to sell......,lol
  24. Lacquer is much easier to work with in my experience. It dries quicker, doesn’t orange peel as much as enamel ( for me anyway), and just flows better.
  25. Lol, good to hear I’m not losing my marbles. Glad to see you back on track.
