Don’t have pics handy, but I’ve used those on AMT kits, Want to say I modified the back of the inner wheels to accept the brake drums from the AMT kit so I could use the metal axle. -

There is also the fact that some of the older sheets of BMF are thicker and don’t stick as well, most of those were out around/during Covid . -

I’ve been using canopy glue , small dab on the glass, set mirror and let it dry. The canopy glue is tacky enough after a minute or so to keep mirror in place and dries clear -

BRBO2023 Italeri 378
tbill replied to TruckerAL's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Looking great! Makes me want to start another one of those kits. -
If they have the spare parts in stock, it’s pretty quick. I got a replacement hood for my ramp truck as soon as they had stock a available, and not too long ago I bought a replacement parts tree for the nova gasser due to my carpet monster eating a small part, I think that showed up in less than a week.

Can’t leak if there is no oil in it, haha. I have a rolling chassis now, and a quick lopsided mock up to give a look at the colors together. -

Any local shows ? Can usually rent table space in the swap area. Do you have a local weekly or monthly general swap meet ? Local car shows usually have a vendor area as well. Maybe one of these could be an option. -
Preventing Tamiya Spray Can Runs/Bubbles
tbill replied to TheCamaroKid's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
As mentioned earlier, the bubbles are from pools of paint gassing out the solvent ( ask me how I know…, lol), and also as mentioned earlier, if you’re close to the object, pretty much use warp speed. Close and quick will yield a fairly smooth layer of wet paint, but you can’t sight see when you do it, keep it on warp speed. Try it on a spare/scrap body and see how it comes out, cause once you nail the speed/closeness, it’s a game changer -
For me, it all depends on what I’m attaching. In my arsenal I have, testors liquid glue ( black bottle/red label), testors clear glue (white/clear bottle/blue label), evergreen canopy glue, and CA glue/thick. Again, depends on what I’m trying to attach, and to where/what
