  1. Thanks for the heads up, hadn’t thought to refresh my ‘screen’
  2. Almost time! Vendor list hasn’t been updated yet though….
  3. Don’t have pics handy, but I’ve used those on AMT kits, Want to say I modified the back of the inner wheels to accept the brake drums from the AMT kit so I could use the metal axle.
  4. Yup, I built one as a kid as well, still think it’s a cool kit.
  5. Hobby lobby has black chain, $5 will get you a life time supply.
  6. Pretty sure my wallet is going to melt at NNL east …..
  7. And the fickle finger of fate will quickly humble you in both hobbies ….
  8. There is also the fact that some of the older sheets of BMF are thicker and don’t stick as well, most of those were out around/during Covid .
  9. A bit of a late response, but the turquoise is model master tropical turquoise
  10. Looking good Jim, nice job!
  11. I’ve been using canopy glue , small dab on the glass, set mirror and let it dry. The canopy glue is tacky enough after a minute or so to keep mirror in place and dries clear
  12. You better take her out to a nice dinner or something, great score!
  13. Looking great! Makes me want to start another one of those kits.
  14. If they have the spare parts in stock, it’s pretty quick. I got a replacement hood for my ramp truck as soon as they had stock a available, and not too long ago I bought a replacement parts tree for the nova gasser due to my carpet monster eating a small part, I think that showed up in less than a week.
  15. Looking good Jeff, better get a move on, school re opens Monday morning, haha.
  16. Looking forward to seeing this progress
  17. Looking good, I love it when I get far enough along to start doing mock ups to see if reality matches my vision.
  18. Can’t leak if there is no oil in it, haha. I have a rolling chassis now, and a quick lopsided mock up to give a look at the colors together.
  19. Big deal, you built a bus, wanna impress me? Fill it with kids….. haha, just kidding Jeff, looking great man, can’t wait to see this in person! edit, to other readers, Jeff and I know each other quite well, so he knows I’m kidding…..
  20. Any local shows ? Can usually rent table space in the swap area. Do you have a local weekly or monthly general swap meet ? Local car shows usually have a vendor area as well. Maybe one of these could be an option.
  21. As mentioned earlier, the bubbles are from pools of paint gassing out the solvent ( ask me how I know…, lol), and also as mentioned earlier, if you’re close to the object, pretty much use warp speed. Close and quick will yield a fairly smooth layer of wet paint, but you can’t sight see when you do it, keep it on warp speed. Try it on a spare/scrap body and see how it comes out, cause once you nail the speed/closeness, it’s a game changer
  22. For me, it all depends on what I’m attaching. In my arsenal I have, testors liquid glue ( black bottle/red label), testors clear glue (white/clear bottle/blue label), evergreen canopy glue, and CA glue/thick. Again, depends on what I’m trying to attach, and to where/what
  23. More pre ordered model roundup goodness, lol
