Very nice build. Nice to see something other than a Hemi in every older Mopar build. Love the detail.
  7. Well, the topic of the post was "How to build a better model". Anyway I agree with all of the suggestions for doing so. I 'll be participating in one of the community builds and I'm doing a twin turbo diesel, and boy have I learned a lot about the subject! I totally agree with you JC, if you plan to do anything beyond what's in the box you should do plenty of research. For me it was fun and educational. Even for an O.G. like me.
  8. I do a build sheet for any model I do that requires extensive fabrication or kit bashing. I list what I want to do with the model, what modifications I plan to do, and where I might get parts from and how much they cost. I do it mostly during down time when I can't get to the bench but it's not a journal because once the build is done I don't follow up with what I actually did.
  9. I just keep an electronic file of my work since I've only been back into it a couple of years. Call it a photo journal.
  10. Impressive detail. Very neat.
  11. My fav tri-five! Very well done. I love that engine!

  15. Congrats to the winners, well deserved. My first run and had a lot of fun. It won't be my last.
  16. Welcome Terry! I get down your way a few times a year.
  17. Impressive Clifford!
  18. Thanks Bill, they're both the same it's just the way the pen in the front is lifting the car more than the pencil in the rear. I should have probably used a better pic.

  20. Very nice! I almost didn't open this post but I'm glad I did.
  21. Nice work Michael.
  22. A little bit of everything eh, James? Great work!
  23. Hi All. I was inventorying some old parts (actually trying to find a lost part) and after putting it all together decided to plan a future build based on them. It will be a restomod Camaro, and my question is whether or not this wheel and tire combo looks too small? the rear tires are plenty wide but not very tall. Thanks in advance for your opinion.
  24. I agree Ray. You can't have on-road/off-road cannonball if it requires a full-on 4WD with off-road wheels to traverse. Also, the vehicle needs to be licensed, so things like no windshield and off-road tires are a no-no, and I hear it does rain occasionally in Australia!!
