  1. Michaels has different gauges of bead wire that can be used. It bends well and is pretty inexpensive. You just have to know what gauge you need. The 50% off coupon is good until the end of the day too!
  2. Sweet paint job! Can't wait to see the finished product.
  3. Moving along nicely. Super cool!
  4. Yes, very nice.
  5. If it's a reputable dealer I agree with Dean and Tom. Contact the seller and try to work it out, but don't wait too long or eBay and Paypal won't help you. I had a seller that wouldn't respond to my complaints and Paypal sent me a refund. That's one reason I use it.
  6. Very nice.
  7. Slick build Jim. Very clean.
  8. Excellent work. Very well done. I love the color.
  9. Merry Christmas everyone. I don't think you have to be a Christian to get into the spirit of peace on earth!
  10. Fantastic attention to detail, and patience!
  11. Very nice build.
  12. Sweet!!
  13. I've never understood that. If the clearance is correct on the sign, then why do the drivers go under a bridge that is lower than their total height? If the signs aren't right, why aren't they fixed? My pops transported new Fords from Lorain for decades and never chopped one on a bridge.

Should be nice. You're definitely headed in the right direction.

  16. Impressive group!
  17. I see what you mean. It works but not a first choice, thanks.

Very nice build. Nice to see something other than a Hemi in every older Mopar build. Love the detail.
  20. Well, the topic of the post was "How to build a better model". Anyway I agree with all of the suggestions for doing so. I 'll be participating in one of the community builds and I'm doing a twin turbo diesel, and boy have I learned a lot about the subject! I totally agree with you JC, if you plan to do anything beyond what's in the box you should do plenty of research. For me it was fun and educational. Even for an O.G. like me.
  21. I do a build sheet for any model I do that requires extensive fabrication or kit bashing. I list what I want to do with the model, what modifications I plan to do, and where I might get parts from and how much they cost. I do it mostly during down time when I can't get to the bench but it's not a journal because once the build is done I don't follow up with what I actually did.
  22. I just keep an electronic file of my work since I've only been back into it a couple of years. Call it a photo journal.
  23. Impressive detail. Very neat.
  24. My fav tri-five! Very well done. I love that engine!
