  1. Good suggestion!
  2. Looks very clean. Nice build. I'm watching Graveyard Carz at this moment and that's the first reference to Sublime Green I'd ever heard. He calls it Sub-lime green.
  3. Newt's Boneyard may have something you can use for grilles and bumpers. B-N-L Resins has all of the suspension parts you might need. You picked a tough kit to get parts for Steve!! Good luck.
  4. Rolling along quite nicely!
  5. Fireball Modelworks has some BFG's.
  6. Nice paint work. Looks like you've got the paint down!
  7. VCG resins has both in aluminum at $6 - $7 a pair.
  8. Nice detail work. I like the aluminum heads!
  9. I agree, the Jag 6 is the ticket!! Good luck.
  10. I agree with everyone else!!
  11. It's the Nissan Prince G.engine. I blew up the photo and saw it was a Nissan and Googled it as I was intrigued because I own one, and just built a Skyline kit. If you do fabrication work you could probably build one from a stock Nissan engine. Looks sweet. Here is a link to a better pic.Good luck. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_G_engine#/media/File:Prince_GR8_engine_Nissan_Engine_Museum.jpg
  12. Good points.
  13. Absolutely stunning! I have that kit and plan to build it this year but no way I get near that. Nice work.
  14. Outback Edition for me but I like the idea of mixed on-road/off-road so we have some limits on designs. Otherwise we are looking at unlimited! Second for me would be From the Factory.
  15. Hi All. I was researching fuel injection for a future build and I came across a Kinsler catalog. It has a list of their products and features but what caught my eye was a section with a brief history of FI. For those more educated on the subject it would be quite basic, but for us with little knowledge of FI it was an eye opener. I always knew the basics but not the hows, whens or whys. You might want to check it out. http://kinsler.com/Kinsler-Handbook/HTML/files/assets/common/downloads/publication.pdf
  16. Wow! Haven't been to a DDM in quite a while. I guess I'll have to try to stop in this weekend.
  17. Thanks to all of you guys Rob! Great work. Btw, I didn't vote for my own Skyline so I'm glad to have gotten some love with all the great comp out there.
  18. Thanks for posting Casey, I've been offline a couple of days. I never even looked at the decal sheet and I love it!!
  19. Oh yeah, that's how it's supposed to be done!
  20. Okay, so I don't feel so alone. Thanks for all the input. I looked at my Viper yesterday and I remember now that my window masking effort fell a little short so I got ticked and stopped working on it. I will finish it first because I want to finish the three unfinished kits I have before starting anything new. At least...that's the plan.
  21. So I've decided to do a few simple builds because the last two that I did had some extensive mods on them and I made more than a few stupid mistakes on them. Failure to dry fit, getting glue on a windshield, and breaking, or losing critical parts. I need to slow my roll and get back to basics. I've got a nearly finished '69 Camaro to finish and a complete but trim and decals Viper ACR. Both had issues that made me shelve them but I'll finish them off first. Have any of you had to do a reboot?
  22. I agree, the striping is sweet! Not crazy about the wheels either, but I've never liked that style wheel so I'm not very objective.
  23. In at the wire. Sorry to make it so late but had a series of self-inflicted issues to deal with. The Skyline has a racing Corvette engine and tranny. I mounted the disc brakes inboard Jag-style to enable room for the suspension. The whitewalls you see are actually part of the rim, because the tires are low profile. I left it right hand drive for the halibut. Fabricated the luggage rack and integrated spoiler.
  24. Nice work! I'm trying to work on my weathering so I appreciate the post.
