  1. Looks ready to take on the mud!
  2. Don't forget, if its over 30 yrs old you don't have to RHD it unless you want to.
  3. Cody I've never seen those for sale before, but perhaps you could make something like this work. I don't know how much you wanted to spend but there are a couple of these on eBay. Another option would be to buy aluminum sleeve or cut the middle out of some and fabricate styrene inserts. I don't know how you would get the spun aluminum look though. Good luck.
  4. Thanks for the launch Jonathan. Count me in with a Toyota Land Cruiser. I'm planning on updating it and adding a few special touches.
  5. Impressive! Beautiful color and excellent decal application.
  6. I don't have enough putty to finish that thing!
  7. I've never buffed it and I'm on my second can.
  8. I like the idea! Thanks for sharing it with us.
  9. Very nice work. A lot of us think that 3DP will be a game changer for our hobby, and guys like you will help get it there.
  10. Nice weathering for sure. Great how you duplicated the 1:1, and I love those 'Studes!
  11. I use Testors Aluminum Plate. I love the color.
  12. Hey Cody, I just got back into it myself about 2 years ago. The Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials section is a good place to start. There's a recent post "The Secret to Building a Better Model" that has some good info in it. The search feature on the site is a help as well. I also found the site at the link below a very good source. Start at the menu on the left pane and work your way down. http://www.modelcartips.com/
  13. Copy that Mathew. The drivers at my job use a commercial GPS, and they check their route prior to leaving!
  14. Thanks Jonathan.
  15. Here is what I'm going to give it a shot with. The base is a BMW Z-8. The engine will be a 354 Hemi from a '56 Chrysler 300. Everything else is up in the air!
  16. Just like with a 1:1 eh! First take it to media blast to see what you actually have to work with. I love the potential!
  17. Nice work Howard!
  18. Wow, I got a lot of irons in the fire but this sounds so cool. If I get in. mine will truly be a Rat Rod cobbled together with whatever I have laying around. I saw an episode of one of those car shows where they built their first rat rod, and although I didn't care for the result, I learned a lot about the genre. West Coast style anyway. I hear EC & WC have different styles. I don't know if us Midwesterners have a style of RR, but if its like everything else we do, it is down to earth, classic, and mean!
  19. I got the chopped Austin and chassis from Altered States in the mail today, so I guess it qualifies. It's really good quality and everything seems to fit together nicely. I hope to finish it sometime this year. I've got lots of spare parts to use on it. It will be my first resin build.
  20. Michaels has different gauges of bead wire that can be used. It bends well and is pretty inexpensive. You just have to know what gauge you need. The 50% off coupon is good until the end of the day too!
  21. Sweet paint job! Can't wait to see the finished product.
  22. Moving along nicely. Super cool!
  23. Yes, very nice.
