That's nice! I'm building a diesel truck as well, but only a 6 cyl. but I like the use of the shell. Only thing is I haven't had to police my brass in about 40 years!
Sounds like a major undertaking to me. You can buy the Revell Jukebox Ford kit for the motor a lot cheaper. I've seen some nice builds with that engine. I bought the kit just in case I wanted to use the engine at some point. As for buying another RG engine, I've had trouble locating then since he passed. I'm sure they are being hoarded to jack up the price.
Model Meister makes some nice ones that even come with an external wastegate and fittings, and they come in at least two sizes. I have a set and they are the best I've bought. It is an overseas outfit, so it takes a little longer to get them. B-N-L resins also have some but I've never bought any. I have bought some from VCG Resins though and they are okay.
David, I use the Chrome browser which allowed me to select Translate Page. Give it a try. As for the model, yes it looks fantastic, kudos to the builder. But I won't even guess at what that had to cost!
I agree with Mark on subbing out a funny car chassis. I bought that kit for parts and I think it would be a major undertaking to alter that chassis for a flip top. That being said, you can't hit a ball unless you step up to the plate. Like Mike said, post your pics as you go. I'm sure you'll get advice as needed. Good luck Michael.
