  1. Hemmings Muscle Machines did an article on a '72 440-6. It was stated that probably 18 Chargers and Road Runners were built in August of '71 with this engine.
  2. Factory stock Magnum and Mirada models would be nice.
  3. It will come back since so many like the design or wish they had bought one previously. I'd rather see the '71 GTX and a new '70 GTX, but the Road Runner will sell very well when it returns. I thought the '73-'74 looked better.
  4. I was never interested in the big rigs until GMC came out with the Astro 95. The turbine project was run out of Detroit Diesel-Allison's Gas Turbine division in Indianapolis. It was intended for trucks but canceled when the mid-1970s oil embargo occurred. The turbines were eventually used in military helicopters and some other applications. I have the original issue of this kit. Thanks for the kit's history lesson, Lee!

  6. yes, this story is actually true
  7. The SS has always been my favorite Jag. There's one in the Detroit area that I saw at the Meadowbrook Concours.
  8. It wouldn't take much to offer the hidden and exposed headlights on the '68. The same could be done with the '69 and, as mentioned, would require a different interior.
  9. Maybe a retooled stock 1970-71 Cyclone will be one of Round2's surprises for 2023, followed by a 1968-69 Torino hardtop/convertible and '68 Indy Pace Car. Then in 2024 they can tool up a 1969 Cyclone GT and Cyclone Spoiler Dan Gurney/Cale Yarborough Special or a Cyclone Spoiler II.
  10. that's a little over 5 ounces
  11. If the kit sales are phenomenal, maybe they will do that on a subsequent release.

  13. This reminds me of the diesel emissions scandal that VW got caught up in with software that complied during EPA testing, but then reverted to "dirty" emissions during normal driving. Everything You Need to Know about the VW Diesel Emissions Scandal (caranddriver.com) The HD diesel truck engine manufacturers also got caught up in their own cheating scandal.
  14. I doubt you would get anything closer to what I suggested since it's a 4-door sedan. Most police cars in this country were bottom-of-the-line cars or close to it.
  15. I would start with the Hubley 1/24th 1961 Ford promo or kit. The promos tend to warp. Also check out this 1960 kit for inspiration: 1960 Ford Fairlane Sheriff Patrol Car - Police - Pro Built - 1/24 Hubley | eBay
  16. what scale?
  17. Most would prefer the SS version, so you might do better with a resin kit than to wait for one from Round2 or Revell.
  18. Maybe someday we will get a '35 Ford. All I have is rubber versions of it.
