  1. A complete kit should come with plated parts.
  2. An earlier thread on this car indicated that Atlantis planned to make improvements to the tooling.
  3. sounds like some litigation was involved
  4. Yes, there are plenty of old kits and promos with more sales potential. It wouldn't be too difficult to buy the newer Edsel kit and do your own customization.
  5. that is correct; they were also standard on the '65 Malibu SS396 with different center caps.
  6. Maybe you could apply silicone caulk on a flat portion of the vinyl roof to make a vinyl pattern. After the caulk dries, peel it off. Apply a skim coat of Bondo over the depression on the driver's side of the roof. Smooth it as well as you possibly can. When the Bondo is drying but not too tacky, gently press the caulk blob over the repaired area.
  7. I went to the Ford Crown Victoria National Meet at the end of July in Detroit. It was at a hotel along Ford Road across the street from Dearborn. Here are three Meteors I saw. Coincidentally, two were mint green. One had a white accent zig zag while the second was mint green and white with a black zig zag.
  8. My nephew had one of these Caprices. It had 365 net horsepower and was really quick off the line and strong through the gears. He sold it since he has a Corvette and recently bought a new car.
  9. The first car is identical to the 1948 Pontiac Streamliner that my Dad had. Next is a 1939 Dodge with a Hayes body used by Dodge, Chrysler and DeSoto from 1939-1940. Lastly, a 1938 Pontiac with body by Holden. These are referred to in Australia and New Zealand as "Slopers" and were made from the mid-1930s to the early 1940s and were available from Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Buick, too. Chrysler Corporation also had a similar style available. Note how all have sloping "B" pillars and how elegant they look compared to the Dodge.
  10. I have never seen a '68 XL in any color other than that yellow, which was not the factory color. It was available at S.S. Kresge for $1.00. I wanted to buy it, but Mom was in a hurry to go shopping elsewhere in the mall. Let me tell you, I paid a lot more for one decades later! I also have a '68 Toronado in an awful blue color. It was a Jo-Han tool but marketed by AMT. That promo friction was only available in one color. I don't recall what AMT called those loud colors.
  11. The 1931 Rolls-Royce is a fairly common radio. The other two I don't recall ever seeing. Thanks for posting them, Brian.
  12. No, Brian, those don't count since they aren't Philco radios. The ones I listed are all AMT models except the AMC Ambassador and Chrysler Turbine Car. The Ambassador uses the same ON/OFF/volume control knob and station selector knob as the AMT models and appears to use the AMT speaker grille and radio components. It appears to use the same chassis as the 1967-1969 Thunderbird. I haven't seen a Turbine Car version in person, so I'm not 100% certain on that.
  13. I thought I would update this list. All are AMT models except as noted. 1964 Thunderbird (multiple colors) radio NT-11 1964 Grand Prix (never seen) 1964 Riviera (Silver Cloud) 1964 XL (never seen) 1965 Thunderbird (multiple colors) radio NT-11 1965 Impala SS 1965 Grand Prix (Starlight Black) 1965 Dynamic 88 (Target Red, Lucerne Mist) 1965 Wildcat (Astro Blue, Flame Red) 1966 Impala SS (Aztec Bronze) 1966 Galaxie 7-Litre (never seen) 1966 Thunderbird (multiple colors) radio NT-11 1966 Continental (Cranberry) 1966 Riviera (Shell Beige) 1966 Mustang 2+2 (Antique Bronze, Signal Flare Red, Arcadian Blue) radio P-22 1967 Mustang 2+2 (Frost Turquoise, bright yellow) 1967 Thunderbird (multiple colors) radio NT-11 1967 Riviera (Platinum Mist) 1968 Thunderbird (multiple colors) radio NT-11 1968 XL (never seen) 1968 SS427 (Ermine White) MPC 1969 Thunderbird (Royal Maroon) radio NT-11 1967 Ambassador - Jo-Han Chrysler Turbine Car (Turbine Bronze) - Jo-Han
  14. I would not be surprised if Round2 has a '66 Barracuda promo or kit that can be cloned to revive it.
  15. AMT made promotional model cars of the 1949-1951 Ford Custom 4-door sedan. They come with mirrored metal 'glass' inserts since there is no interior. Remote control and windup versions were also available. If you are patient, you can find nice examples without warpage.
  16. the '74 and '75 Cutlass grilles are incorrect; a '73 442 would be the most appropriate choice of the three years
  17. I have never seen one in this color combination, and I grew up in Ford country (Dearborn)!
  18. The AMT '69 Impala SS also has the plastic front axle pieces, and I would guess the Wildcat does, too.
  19. Steve Goldman of Round2 indicated that they corrected the 'B' pillar on the Demon to make it more accurate to the real car.
  20. 1974 Dart Sport, 1974 Hang 10, 1975 Hang 10, 1976 Spirit of '76
  21. 1970 through 1973 Duster 340:
  22. I would only be interested in a stock version. Hopefully it would come with the 6 and the 302.
  23. @SteveG here's a suggestion for Round2, a '72 Duster Twister I saw at the Greenfield Village Motor Muster this Summer:
  24. sounds like a kinky fantasy ...
