  1. Pyro made some nicely proportioned and detailed 1/32nd scale, multi-piece bodies. The kits could have used real rubber tires instead of molded plastic. I can't think of anything Palmer did that is worth doing. Some of their 1970s subject matter was interesting, but all of their kits were terrible and not true to scale.
  2. a '66 Charger would be more likely since MPC made it; the '57-'68 Chryslers were made by Jo-Han and Round2 has plenty of old tooling to fix or improve upon
  3. It's slightly smaller than 1/25th scale, and so is the '51 Chieftain.
  4. The Rite Aid stores around here (Detroit area) carry 1/24th Maisto diecast unboxed models.
  5. just keep them coming!
  6. I'm resigned to eventually getting resin kits of both - if someone sees enough demand to produce them. The problem I have with most resin kits is you are paying good money for them and then have to get the chrome parts plated somewhere.
  7. Hopefully we will see '66 Satellite and '66 Coronet 500 kits after this?
  8. I had suggested on this forum that a worthwhile project would be to recreate the '65 Wildcat body, grille and bumpers, and create the correct '66 Wildcat interior. Someone on the forum commented that most people wouldn't care about the correct interior. That may be true, but it would be a more worthwhile project than some of the kit re-releases we've seen. I did suggest it to someone at Round2 who looks at this forum. A forum member recommended using a '68 Bonneville dashboard for the '66 Wildcat since it's somewhat similar. I'd like to see '67 and '68 Wildcat hardtop kits, since no big Buick kit or promo was produced for either year. I drove a '68 in high school and early college. They certainly wouldn't sell as well as the earlier Wildcats or other big cars that you suggested. The chassis is the same as the '65 and '66.
  9. All Round2 has to do is clone an MPC '66 Bonneville kit. No need to do anything with the Hasegawa version. A '65 Wildcat or a '64 Grand Prix, Bonneville or Wildcat, could be cloned from an original kit and sell very well.
  10. Dodge made a Ute before WWII, but I'm not sure if Chrysler and Plymouth did. All of them made Utes after the war.
  11. Hopefully we will finally get a '62 Grand Prix kit at some point, then a '63 ...
  12. 1964 Chevrolet (autocolorlibrary.com) Daytona Blue, my favorite color on the '64
  13. That's really cool and the last year of production. ?
  14. What an awesome collection. Thanks for posting these, Joe!
  15. Does it include the electronic buzzer to unlatch the front door remotely? It wasn't in a real nice neighborhood.
  16. I agree that the '73 GP looks better than the '77 GP, but I think the '76 Regal or Century Custom Coupe looks even better and so does the '73 442. The point is that the 1973-1977 GM intermediates are sorely missing, and so are Rancheros.
  17. When I worked a few summers at a large municipal park in the mid-1970s, we drove Ford pickups built from the early to mid-1960s. They had smooth black vinyl seats like what you'd find in a basic taxicab. Most, if not all, were Custom Cabs, but were basic with no power steering or brakes, and manual transmissions. I would think they were bid out as fleet sales to the city.
  18. Thanks for posting this link, Brian. I'll have to get a copy of the book. Some of the rubber cars had good detail and were popular for a while.
  19. The Fury and Coronet were Jo-Han models. It would be nice to clone some of the early AMT kits such as the Fairlane 500, Thunderbird, Park Lane, Lincoln, Roadmaster and Invicta, Bonneville, '59 and '60 Impala and '60 El Camino. I think Round2 wants to concentrate on fixing the existing tooling first and see how well that goes before venturing into the earlier era.
  20. All of that is great information, Tim! I was hoping there would be multiple wheel options and the choice of whitewall and blackwall tires.
  21. Is it just me or would the cream truck look better with blackwalls and the hubcaps? I think the whitewalls look good on the red truck with chromed wheels.
  22. I just looked at my '70-'74 Dodge and Plymouth brochures. The '70 Challenger and Charger are listed in the full-line brochure as having an optional trunk rack, but it isn't listed for the Coronet. The '71-'73 full-line brochure doesn't list it, but it notes to see the dealer for additional options. The '74 brochure specifically lists a rack only being available from the factory for the wagons. The '70 Plymouth full-line brochure doesn't mention it. The '71 Barracuda and intermediate brochures list it. I don't have the '72 brochures. The '73 Barracuda brochure doesn't list it and I don't have the intermediate brochure. I also don't have the '74 Plymouth brochures. Lots of options aren't listed in brochures. As Tim stated, many options were available from the factory, and some were also available as a dealer option. Since we are talking model cars, you can do what the factory should have done!
  23. the '72 Corvette brochure calls it a luggage carrier
