  1. That's good! We're on the same page then. lol
  2. Good lookin base coat Pat!!
  3. Thanks Craig! Man you shouldn't be so hard on yourself dude. Plan your job out and then get the things you need to accomplish it. Your Willy's looked good to me but if you want to fine tune things a little I think you'll be more than capable of doing it. Our capabilities are always limited if we start off thinking negatively about our potential. You've got this bro. Look at magazines, web pages and whatever other resources you can get your hands on to give you some real world applications. As far as imagination goes, just think of what you'd like in a car if you were to own one and then make 'er happen. Just my
  4. Thanks Jeremy. The steering wheel came with the kit. I just had to get online to get some ideas in regards to painting and detailing it. 'Preciate the good word there Codi.
  5. I haven't looked in on this build in a loooooong time but I should've been all along. I really like the air filter element idea and may be going to Joanne's myself to cash in on it. Very good progress. Looks like I'll be following along on this one so I can remember to check the progress more.
  6. Looks like everything is all lined up at the front alright. Lookin' good D.W.
  7. Welcome aboard Lukasz! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this kit.
  8. I found that out the hard way in regards to tape over painted finishes (even with the Tamiya Tape) with acrylics on aircraft builds and then again with enamels and lacquers on automotive builds but hey, it's a constant learning process right? Engine looks good but I'll say that I usually stick all my wires with the boots installed into the distributor first and then start the routing process. Boots aint that hard to fabricate or install either. I start here with the wire: Then I either get a piece of telephone jack wire or even better yet would be a same diameter piece of black wire so it's already the right color: Cut to two different lengths, one for the distributor side and the other for the spark plug side and insert a toothpick through to swell the "boot" to fit onto the spark plug wire: and slide both onto the wire and "wallah" you've got yourself one assembled spark plug wire. Either paint the boots to your liking or choose the correct diameter colored wire for them.
  9. Shuuuweeeet! Beautiful paint job on this one.
  10. Shuuuweeeet! Beautiful paint job on this one.
  11. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!! That paint looks 10 feet deep!!!
  12. Just can't get over the work that's going into this one. Great job so far Ismael.
  13. This may not seem like much but that fire extinguisher was no small job to paint up and put BMF on for the straps. The part came from the 68 Hemi Dart kit along with the decal. The gauge decal came from an instrument panel gauge decal from the AMT 67 Chevelle Pro Street kit. Got the dash mostly finished and I got the radio and equalizer installed as well as installing the fabricated shifter. The OOB shifter SUCKED!! Aaaaand to get this part of the build overwith for God's sakes!! Steering column and Grant steering wheel installed. I went ahead and went with a black center on the steering wheel to tie some of the black in the interior together. Interior is...……………….finished! Bench time has NOT been at a premium this summer. Looking forward to making some real progress.
  14. Really enjoy all the updates Bill. This is intense!! I was gonna post something about the Word document/ paste into text box here thing when I saw somebody else already suggested it. Glad you figured it all out with the emoticon usage. I also hear you on the lack of bench time during the summer. Man.......I've spent all summer long on my Willy's and usually I would've been done already.
  15. Love the ol' F bodies and you've got yourself a couple of good lookin' builds here.
  16. I just want you to know that I went out and bought this kit after looking at this completed build of it. SUPERB build bud. Wow!!!!
  17. Man it's great to see this one cross the finish line Kerry. This build was downright crazy!!
  18. This thing looks SWELL!!! The weathering and all the details are making this thing literally come alive.
  19. I was hoping you'd be going for that Cadillac engine. Looking forward to seeing what kind of detail you bring to the table on that. Great work on that air compressor and air tank too.
  20. I'm looking forward to this whole paint job. Staying glued to the set.................
  21. This looks like a pre-wired distributor that comes with the wires already in the distributor body. To get them to stay in the OOB distributor I drill holes into the distributor and insert the wires into it with some CA on the ends.
  22. That turned out very well Jeremy. Great job buddy!!
  23. Good lookin' kit.
  24. Oh man! He did go there!
