  1. I like the inline six idea as well. That's not bad progress at all considering all of what unexpected things that life throws at us during a week off. Believe me , I have an understanding of those "unwanted days off" concerning what looks like a lot of time to myself that quickly turns into a list of either "honey do's" or one problem after another that just pops up. Hang in there Rob. You're doin' great man.
  2. Great work on that Nova Tyler! What is that guy welding on over there? and What did you use for the welding light?
  3. Thanks for the encouragement Randy! Haven't made much forward progress over the last couple of days but hope to get something going this weekend.
  4. Thanks JC! I've been working on my PE electric cooling fan from Model Car Garage for the last few days and finally got it underway. I still need to run the electrical ckts to it but the base fan is completed. I'm also continuing work on my interior door panels which have given me a lot of grief. I've stripped them 4 times so far. Just wasn't happy with the way the paint was behaving. I used acrylic for the white inserts and after I applied the gloss coat to seal it all in the acrylic paint started cracking. Then it was a masking issue that looked really bad and then I had a paint boo boo that went bad when I was sanding to correct it. You know, the typical stuff. I used white primer this time around as a base coat so we'll see what happens this time round.
  5. I totally missed this cool John!! Glad you're back at the bench and looking forward to seeing you work your magic this one.
  6. Man Tyler! That paint finish looks great from here!!
  7. Fantastic and just short of unbelievable work Tyrone. I aint at this level of detail yet but I'm tryin'. Man this is good.
  8. From here it looks like that windshield is a perfect fit! What's your trick?
  9. Now that's one cool lookin' interior right there!!! Wow!! Love the dash work Dave!!!!
  10. Looks good so far John. I'd be interested in seeing how that gloss works out. Judging by those keys sitting there to the left of that gloss clear can I'd say somebody's in the car business.
  11. Verrrrry nice!
  12. That's pretty dang cool that they not only built a model but also got awards as well. Congratulations!
  13. Nice effects!
  14. That DOES look good JC!!
  15. I hear you on that. By large they are better than a lot of the Revell kits that I've been working with though. lol
  16. Mister you've got that right!
  17. It stays that way down here. Hot and muggy..................and windy. It could be worse though. Where I'm originally from it's unbearably hot with NO wind. Had to strip the door panels and had to repaint the hood and rear door. I had a dissimilar paint issue with the panels and I sanded down to the primer on the edges with the hood and rear door. As of now the paints on the door panels and body parts and now just waiting cure out times........
  18. Looks good so far Mark. Are you going out of the box with this one as far as suspension and powertrain are concerned?
  19. Lookin' good so far Jeremy! I used the chassis of this kit in my '54 Chevy and I was happy with a lot of the fit. BTW it wouldn't be the first time that I did something by accident and it ended up looking better. lol Watching for more progress on this one.
  20. You know.....I thought of something this morning. Although it is humid here, no other paint or gloss I have in the arsenal behaves like this. Will have to dispense it to see if anything different happens. Today's progress: I shot a primer coat on the door panels on Tuesday, a Tamiya X-7 Red coat on Wedensday and a Gloss coat on yesterday. Before today: Still gotta pick out the details and BMF the bottom scuff plate door/ window cranks and the insert strip on the door panels but I managed to 1.)strip the hood, dry and primer that ,2.) strip the rear door and repair not only the bottom of the door but the top where it broke on me this morning???!!!!! Wow! and 3.) paint the center insert of the door panels. The boo-boo at the bottom of the door panel wont be seen as the seat will take care of hiding that. Overall progress in one photo shot for today:
  21. Nice work. I like the strip and the bee back there.
  22. This is just waaay too cool! Really enjoying this build Kerry.
  23. Looks really good so far JC!
  24. This makes me want to build another Challenger!! lol
