  1. On with the thread...... Clayton that is definitely out of this world. Freekin' nice!!! Anthony: Not yet!! I do remember seeing this one in the past though.
  2. I'm definitely looking to more of this great build JC!
  3. Thanks to Bill, Wayne, Carl, Mark and Tom. It's taking a little getting used to feeding and letting out only one dog now but it's getting better. Thanks again fellas.
  4. I like that T fitting and the fuel lines bud!! Really nice looking work there Jim!!!
  5. I like the direction this thing is going in John. Great work!!
  6. Jim: Thanks man! Yeah she was a real pain in the neck to take care of in the last few months but I tried to hang in there. Finally I came to the realization that I was only keeping her around because of me instead of focusing on how miserable she was. It was like after February she just started down a steep decline in the mental health department. I really appreciate your thoughts on that matter. Hopefully you have some good years left with yours that you have now. On the engine, the plug wire boots are wire insulation from the next gauge up in wire size cut and painted. Greg: Thanks man! There's an IPMS show in Austin on 10 October of this year. Gotta git in gear on this thing!!! Chip: Thank you sir. I don't have any red styrene on the engine but I do have red wire insulation for the boots. I just didn't get enough coverage with the black on them. I took care of that this morning after I installed the coil wire.
  7. Thanks Dan. I spotted a couple of areas that need touching up thanks to these Macro pics. Hopefully I can make some real progress on this sucker. Gotta have it ready for the Austin show in October you know.
  8. Sweet build so far. You're really putting a lot into this!
  9. Thanks fellas I appreciate the kind words here. I got up this morning and since I'm still lacking all of my necessaries for the brake lines and linkage I figured I would resume progress on the motor. I got the R/H bank of spark plugs all wired up. Still gotta do the coil wire but that aint nuthin'.....
  10. Had to put our old doggy down yesterday. We had her for 17 years and she was blind, deaf and half out of her mind for the last month. Physically I swear she was in near tip top condition for a 17 year old dog but her brain was just wore smooth out. While not being the brightest candle on the birthday cake, she was a sweet old girl and she'll be missed. At this past Christmas:
  11. You'd better have buster! Looking forward to that Jim!!
  12. Christian: That Hughes is da bomb! I'm a big fan of the OH-6 (military version). I used to be around these things all the time at Ft. Hood and then again in Iraq. That Chuka Cannon is on the verge of pornography!! lol Clayton: It looks like that model could get in depth real quick! Nice! Bill: That's a nice stack of up of builds that you have there!! Allen: That's awesome. Post a WIP when you get to that one. I could never build something like that as I suck at figures as of now. Tom: That's a cool build and a great theme!!!
  13. This is beautiful!!! Your name fits the build!!
  14. Didn't mean to overlook this one there Tom. That sir , is priceless!!
  15. I love Stukas, especially the G models with those totally "Bad A" 37mm cannons under the wings. You know I don't really like a lot of the lack of detail that the old Monogram birds have , this is true. But they were first molded back in the 60's (or at least a lot of 'em were) so I try to cut some slack on that. The rivet detail I definitely like on a lot of the old Monogram birds like the Dauntless though. That you don't see on todays kits. Panel lines, whether they are engraved or raised, replace the rivets. Back when I was a kid, the Monogram kits were da bomb!!
  16. My uncle had one of these cars and for I used to love that thing. Your build here is very realistic. I like the job you did on the paint and wheels Benjamin. You've got yourself a nice lookin' model there bud!
  17. What Rich said!! I hate that stuff that you have to add that's close to glass like the sun visors that you are talking about. The only thing I can think of is a jig to hold the visors in place and use a good 5 minute epoxy on them. Your build looks great Gerald!!
  18. The paint! Good Lord .....that paint!!! You sir, set the bar with that shine!
  19. Save for the mirrors (which that's kind of surprising) , it's quite convincing!!! Great job even with the shortcomings.
  20. That's different......and cool!
  21. This'll be great!!! I used to have this car from back in my teenage years but it got destroyed in a move.
  22. The detail that's in that thing must be mind blowing!!!
