  1. Some really good steps taken to get where you are with this build Don. I absolutely love the color you're using on that car body too. I'll be following along on this magnificent build.
  2. Missed this when you posted it up Anton. Stunning detail and I can only imagine how delicate all of that is to handle. So frickin' GOOD man.
  3. Right??!! That picture does indeed give this bird a good look. Will be watching for the weathering process Dave.
  4. With all of these last little tid bits going on it makes it really tricky to handle (as well as scary to handle too I'll bet). She's shaping up VERY well here Dave and one can tell that a lot of tender love and care is going into this beast. Also......this is a whole new color for me to see one of these Widows in but it looks great in it. Just beautiful work man.
  5. You're a wild man for tackling all of this detail Anton. WOW!! Keep 'er comin' man.
  6. Dude......this is just NUTS!!! Extraordinary detailing Anton.
  7. Thanks Dave.....fingers crossed man. Those are actually landing gear bay and nose plugs from O mask. It beats having to stuff waded up paper towels or foam in there and I build enough Fw190's to mandate a set of 'em.
  8. This has been quite the journey through this build so far but one that I am now enjoying now that most of this bird is together. Here we are ready for paint.......FINALLY!!
  9. Yeah but you love it doncha Dave. LOL. A lot of work it has been......but it wouldn't have turned out this good so far without all of the work involved. Such a good result so far and great problem-solving skills at work here. I'm definitely looking forward to the next update.
  10. I just hope I can give this kit the justice that it deserves. LOL
  11. This one...... BTW......kit is now.......acquired!! Thank you for that Kyle.
  12. WOW!! I may have to entertain something like that. That would have to be a 5 ton to haul that sucker around with all of the uparmor.
  13. I believe that 100% on the getting in our own way bit Dave. I seem to constantly over complicate my builds with the details and in the end, I always say to myself, "Why can't you just build something OOB??" The satisfaction one gets when things finally do "click into place" is more than can be put into words. lol
  14. Now THAT ......I would love to see. Didn't know that.
  15. That's frickin' crazy right there but it's pretty ingenious!! LOL! WOW!!
  16. I can tell that you're a fella that likes to do a fair amount of research on any given build to get the best out of it. It's fun as well as entertaining to read about the different camo schemes and the fact that they were repainted with each deployment.
  17. Man this is just NUTS Nolan. That bike looks almost as if you could get on it, start it and ride away.............. Very convincing work bud.
  18. To me, the research portion of model building is as much fun as building the model itself. Good catch bud.
  19. The amount of detail that can be put into these ships is simply amazing and you're already off to a great start with this Anton. This is really going to be a good one to watch.
  20. Never in a milliion years would I have ever guessed that car was from a Revell kit. Master class work on that Anton.
  21. Now THAT'S.........a cool build. Beautiful car and it's equally as cool that you were around this car. What scale is your build Anton?
  22. First off, we all started from somewhere Anton. If I showed you some of my builds from 22 years ago it would be the same..... "a bit rough". But hey, we're back in this thing and learnin' along the way right? Secondly, that sign is REALLY neat. I've got a Luftwaffe Pilots Badge in my hobby room in a shadow box along with my father in laws awards and medals.
  23. I am SO dialed in to this build Anton. I've never built a naval vessel before but builds like this sure inspire me to try one out. Following..........
  24. Still workin' on the engine panels Dave. I managed to get the other side looking like the one pictured above, have them both primed in the same marble fashion as the rest of the aircraft and have been working on the supercharger air intake for the last couple of bench sessions. I should have some photo worthy updates soon. Thanks a lot Sean. They are my favorite as well and this will make my third Fw190 variant to build AND I've got two other variants in the stash. My ultimate holy grail Fw190 to build though is going to be the V-18. Such an awesome looking bird.
