  1. What clear did you use that gives you those white edges...I've noticed that the Testors 'Wet Look' Clear lacquer does that from time to time but always seems to dry clear.
  2. What paint is that if you happen to know?
  3. I thought that might be the case...I've used it on some 1:1 projects to duplicate the anodized look and it definitely did that on your nitrous bottle. Thanks for the confirmation. Dan
  4. What paint did you use for the nitrous bottle? It looks exactly like the blue anodized NOS bottles...
  5. How did you manage to paint the wheels...primarily the hub inside and all of the bolts? Looks great...
  6. Shift knobs look great and a very creative solution...excellent build.
  7. A big trend with Japanese tuners is to do 'mirror image' graphics...no idea why but they've done it for years. What did you use for the gear sift knob?
  8. is the body painted or left in a 'raw' white plastic?
  9. What color did you use for the 'primer' underneath? It looks like a great match...
  10. What tires and wheels are those and what size do they 'scale' out to?
  11. You can find embossing powder that some people use...I got some at Micheal's here in Castle Rock so I would assume they'd have it in the Springs and I imagine Hobby Lobby would carry it also (typically found in the scrap booking section). If you can't find any down there let me know and I can grab you some up here and throw it in the mail.
  12. And I'll bet even the hood latch works...great detail.
  13. For the troubles you had during your WIP progress the end result turned out great...and the next one will be easier!
  14. Thanks for the kind words guys and I will show her your replies as I'm sure it will make her day. She's also done a Star Wars 'Snap-Tite', a helicopter and a Ferrari LaFerrari and Mustang convertible. She has no aversion to the putting things together and was pretty handy with a torque wrench by 8 when we re-built a Yamaha YSR50 for her. I made sure she did some of the work and knew how to use the tools so she could truly say it was 'hers'.
  15. This is a '34 Ford Street Rod that my 10 year old daughter wanted to build. After seeing the interior of my 'in-progress' Jeep Rubicon she wanted to try her hand at flocking the interior. You can't see it but it's definitely got some 'carpet' in there and she did a great job on it by herself using Elmer's clear glue and black flocking material. The only thing she needed help on was the stickers, which had to be stretched around some of the curves to get them to lay down. Looks like she'll be doing an actual glue-together Titanic next...
  16. Peer pressure man, peer pressure! Baby steps but looking great Joe.
  17. Whatever the new techniques were they paid off as that's a great looking finish...on one of my favorite cars.
  18. You can also search places like Factory Five...it's a replica but I imagine it would give you some pretty good reference shots of the frame, suspension, etc. You could also Google for a Cobra restoration or kit car build-up.
  19. What no valve stems??? You're slippin' Joe! Build's looking great so far with all of the little details you've been adding...far cry from what I thought you were originally doing with this.
  20. Ford Lightning front bumper cover on the shelf?
  21. Where'd the '65 Lincoln come from?
  22. Just picked one up on eBay after seeing your build in-progress...
  23. That is some mad, mad camber in the back...
  24. Where'd you get the Ardun conversion and SCoT blower for the Flattie in the first picture?
  25. I've seen them at Hobby Lobby now and then and if you go online you can get one of their 40% or sometimes 50% off coupons good on one item...
