  1. Nice inspiration for those possibly sitting on one of these bodies and unable to decide what to do with it. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Thanks for posting his project. Tall roof T's are very seldom seen anywhere in modeling. I have cut up a bunch of these since this kit first was released the same year I graduated from high school('60). The engine has an unusual card and air cleaner set up for sure. Good stuff all around.
  3. I spoke with Steve on the phone a while back. He's an extremely talented individual with a myriad of interests including being a bass player, adult drum and bugle corp member and still scratch builds amazing models. When we spoke he told me he was scratch building a radial aircraft engine for one project he has on his bench. Steve is also a Vietnam veteran.
  4. The November meeting for the Buckeye Scala Auto Club will be tomorrow night at the Hobby land store in the Northland Plaza. Meting starts at 7:00 pm. I think they would be interested in seeing the bus prototype you have built.
  5. I am looking for one of the '38 IH cab overs made in resin by SJS details Co. Thanks in advance for any tips or leads or possibly have one you don't think you'll build.
  6. After consulting a lot of on-line photo references this resin piece looks to be accurate.
  7. You must have at least 30 pieces of slice and dice in just the roof alone on that Lincoln! Wow,lotsa work but it's looking promising. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Now let's find a nice long row of tall buildings or a mile long tunnel to make an extended low gear at high RPMs to celebrate window rattling decibel levels.
  9. I believe I would have that thumping sound system turned off, windows down and enjoy listening to the music that engine and exhaust system would be making:)
  10. Great build. I'm glad they decided to include some of those cool accessories like the spare mounted rear view mirror and luggage rack. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Thanks Andrew. Their casting looks pretty accurate. I would have to see it in person to judge for myself before dropping that much money. After all the real cars are now 70 years old.
  12. I anyone aware of a resin caster that produces an accurate '49 to '52 Chevy business coupe in 1/25th scale ?
  13. Glad you have kept building. What a wonderful way to get lost in your own styrene world for a while. The hobby has surely changed a lot. This is a great time to be involved. Thanks for checking in.
  14. I agree with your decision on keeping the original in place they are part of the Lincoln's original design and personality.
  15. I would try a test on an old piece of stripped bumper by applying the Molotow then adding the wash after that was dry.
  16. simply outstanding! And think it only took 6 years(so far) to build:)
  17. Thanks guys. A close friend did help me re-connect with him this week. Mission accomplished.
  18. You mentioned earlier that the bumper chrome was shot. I have had great luck with those handy dandy Molotow chrome markers for that type of thing. This is a excellent project. I'm glad you took the extra time to take these nice sharp photos so we can all follow your progress.
  19. I have used those quarter elliptical springs myself on a couple speedsters. Nice detail
  20. Looking like the builder might want to consider a tetanus shot before working on this any further:)
  21. It's truly amazing what we can find and share on these forums. Great stuff all around!
  22. Great work .I'm glad it will be of further use once the play is over. Thanks for sharing your talent and passion with us.
  23. Outstanding work! could absolutely pass for real item. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
  24. Great inspiration project. Some cars don't need wings and things to be cool!
  25. I received 40 amber and red marker lights from Gregg Wann in Arizona. He posted they were available and I immediately contacted him to place an order. They arrived and are a great product.. He had originally cast them for use as truck cab marker lights but I scratch build antique travel trailers and use them for those. I recommend them.
