  1. You might consider using whatever Honda uses as an interior color with that shade of red. I would be very surprised if they don't use some shade of grey and that would work with your wheel color choice.
  2. You may have to glue some half round styrene strips in the sections you want to tuck and roll.
  3. I was. Looking through some posted photos today and saw a resin Vintage International bread truck style van as a work in progress model under a listing for Detroit madness. It featured a large aerodynamic air foil on the roof that I would like to replicate. Does anyone have addition pix of that model?
  4. Very inspirational build. I'm sure a lot of builders are going to be digging out their long stalled project hot rodded semi's and re-thinking them as we speak. Thanks for sharing your build process with us.
  5. Very impressive build.I admire your ability to plan and execute a trailer this size and keep everything in square.Do you have other trailers that we can see on line? Any link would be appreciated. I am not a race fan at all but this is very neat, obviously well planned and neatly executed.I build models of vintage travel trailers from scratch and certainly understand the process involved. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
  6. I'm looking at the angle of the side window and am wondering if it's actually going uphill.Maybe it's the high angle of your photo.Just checking my friend.
  7. An admirable build. Very well done with excellent paint and great details.
  8. I normally don't care for this style but yours is well done and not an over the top attempt at something different. I did not realize those metallizer paints were available 20 years ago.
  9. There is a forum to assist in finding people. Try posting there for possible results.
  10. Thanks to your excellent in focus photos I see a lot of great details and ideas here.Great stuff overall. As to headers,Maybe thing about some short dragster style zoomies with a set of tucked out of sight sort of regular pipes accessed via a cut-out style valve that would allow use of either system on demand.
  11. Nice to see another old built up saved.Man those were really huge battle ship like cruisers weren't they.
  12. You have picked the best place to look for the tips and tutorials you need to open and hinge those panels.Welcome aboard.Be sure to post your progress here so we can follow along.
  13. Great and unusual find there my friend. Are you planning to build it?If so please be sure to post your progress here.
  14. The least you could have done was to mark the box this project was in"build me first"
  15. Possibly we as model builders should concentrate more on what any new kit CAN BE and spend less time whining about it ISN'T. I'm just say'in.
  16. We live near a small sport fishing lake here in Ohio and every July they host a "Vintage wheels and wooden keels" boat and car show. The wooden boats that show up there are phenominal things to behold with mirror straight varnished wood, gleaming brass and chrome fittings and vintage engines of all possible origins. Some and dual engine monsters, others powered by Packard 12 cyl.engines,Etc.Any engine within reason would be acceptable as long as the year of the engine correspond correctly to the year of the boat's manufacture.
  17. Absolutely loving that boat as a towed vehicle! Thanks for including those photographs.
  18. Great rod triple R.Thanks for sharing.
  19. Another excellent and inexpensive source for weathering colors is acrylic craft paints such as Americana brand. I use a lot of these like terra cotta(for rust),various shades of green, brown and of course black. They are cheap and of course water clean up is great.I just finished a Ford model T speedster for the upcoming NNL National at Sylvannia,Ohio using these paints and everything is dry brushed.
