  1. That's the exact photo I was talking about.I was a little surprised they bothered to publish it.I guess any photo with Big Daddy was a marketable commodity.personally I think the blonde looks like has gas from too many tacos and wishes Ed would open the canopy!
  2. I saw a vintage photo on Pintrest today of Ed Roth taken with the Bandit and two models sitting inside it with top down. The gals were curled up in almost fetal positions trying to force a smile for the cameraman. Those bubble tops look cool but we're totally impractical.
  3. Just a suggestion,I'd consider centering the steering wheel in the cockpit area since that will the only spot the driver will be able to sit without leaning their head over at a really awkward angle.
  4. Adding the wooden frame around the perimeter was a great move. Some how it helps focus the viewer's eye toward the center of the display and brings all the details into better focus.Outstanding!Your builds always inspire me to do better work.
  5. We take short(2-3 day)trips all the time as we are retired. Most of those involve visits to area casions with attached lodging.I prefer to not gamble so I take along my mobile model works shop in a brief case to create something in scale while she plays the slots. While I don't attempt anything like painting,I do some fab and body work while there. That works for us quite well.We still spend plenty of time togeather but a few hours doing what we each enjoy is nice as well.
  6. You officially have my permission to cancel your appointment to have your eyes recalibrate. That rear window is just as it should be.Thanks for responding so quickly.
  7. Really glad to see this build back in the mix! Absolutely out of this world sourcing and mixing of different component parts.Your eye for the smallest of details like the alignment of the exhaust flanges is second to none.Great stuff! Thanks for taking the time to taake all the photos and keep us in the loop with your progress.
  8. Oh,THAT Virgil! We all already knew that.......didn't we?(sorry Howard,I never heard of him.and I'm sure he would say the say about me)
  9. Please give us a better look at the rear of the roof. The right side looks a little lower than the left side does.Maybe it's just the camera angle.
  10. Virgil Mary maybe?
  11. I believe I would have started with thin wall styrene tubing.A half piece would give you the basic shape to add the tail light to,hollow out the center section and shape from there.Just a suggestion of course.Good luck and thanks for sharing.
  12. You know if would have O.K.with us if you took this along on vacation and worked on it there!
  13. The addition of the .020" half round strips adds an interesting look to the top design.Good styling choice. Thanks for sharing.
  14. I like the real lowered green custom one a lot. That bulbous body actually looks pretty cool in that style.
  15. Art,I would really like for you to display this unfinished truck at an upcoming NNL so we can all get a better look at it.
  16. Kudos for hanging in there on this project. Most of us have a fond attachment to our first cars. Most of my first cars starting with my 55 Chevy were "moredoors".
  17. Tho old sliced tire trick.I hjave used that one a lot myself. What ever it takes I say!
  18. Looking very good. You must have generated a huge pile of sanding dust with all that custom bodywork!
  19. Thanks for sharing this project.IMHO far too few young modelers see the endless potential these model T's offer.Enlarging the doors and stripping the chrome will bring this build into a very contemporary state.I look forward to seeing it finished.
  20. Nice to see someone building a longroof custom. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Thanks again for your "thousand words"photos.Once this model is complete most of these details will not be seen with this much clarity.
  22. The Flintstone stock number for their chopped '47 coupe is NB308 and it is $ 15.00.
  23. Richard,I looked at the Jimmy Flintstone website last night and he does offer a really nice chopped '48 body for less than $ 20.00.
