  1. Nice finished model!I have a real '48 Chevy parked in my garage so I really enjoy seeing a model executed this well. Thanks for sharing.
  2. It looks like you are getting your coupe' s suspension worked out in that last photo. You might want to move your rear axle back so the wheels are centered in the center of the rear fender opening.Take a look at some of the rear coupes you saw on your vacation or in magazines and you'll see what I mean. Nice to see someone else with a traveling tool kit/workbench.I love having mine when we travel!
  3. I agree 100 percent, great technique.I have been building models for almost 60 years and these forums continues to be my greatest and best source of inspiration.
  4. I did mean to indicate that you were using excessive amounts of paint only that some of my own techniques involve more paint than needed thus requiring some wiping off in some areas untill the desired effect is achieved.I may try your wood graining tech on plastic but am somewhat concerned about the raised grain look I see.I am wondering if a little sanding prior to the application of paint might lessen that look. I regularly use the old exactly blade tech on hardwood and always sand then color stain and varnish on my projects.
  5. Nice body panel splicing.Gonna be sweet!
  6. Can we assume there will be some wiping way of excess paint soon?
  7. Nice clean build. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Great truck Blair.I like the addition of the assist steps on the front fenders to help the scale passengers enter an exit that tall cab.
  9. The bus is even more impressive when I see the massive amount of body work you invested in this bus body! I have built similar things where I applied massive amounts of putty then sanding a car from that pile. There has to be a huge pile of sanding dust somewhere on your workbench. Thanks for posting the construction photos.
  10. I honestly don't know when you find the time to work! You are turning out killer models at an incredible pace.Nice to see something shiny from you for a change as well.great addition to your collection for sure.

  17. I knew that roof looked familiar for some reason, then spotted the fins on the rear quarter panels and realized this started life as a '60 Ford.Wow!Great model.I am not into that type of racing at all but surely recognize a beautifully model when I see one. Thanks for sharing.
