  1. Looking really slick.I have a fondness for that body style as I learned to drive in a '54.Thanks or sharing.
  2. Thanks Bill.I saw this image on the web when looking at images of the Hallock windscreen and wondered you built this! What thickness styrene did you use?
  3. Great and practical mild custom.Sweet and low!
  4. Great idea taking that last photograph with the fence as a backdrop.Looks very realistic.Nice project! Thanks for sharing and have a great fourth!
  5. Does anyone have a pattern for making Hallock windshield frame? I want to build one for a narrowed Speedster I am building. Thanks!
  6. I just remembered another simple thing I was quite pleased to discover.I was building a dio of an old abandoned gas station and wanted to add some visible top antique gas pumps. The glass cylinder tops on those old pumps were 12" dia and while scrounging around for a suitable clear material to make them from I decided it was time to change my # 11 Exacto blade.I have some blades that came in the small round clear cylinders from Exacto. That package measures to 12" in 1/25 so that can be to go to source for those pump tops.
  7. I have repurposed so stuff over my 60 yrs of model building that my wife (of 52 years)always asks me if I can use little gizmo before throwing stuff away.
  8. Having the pantyhose in the model room is probably pretty safe.....but never and I mean never keep them in the glove compartment of your car!!There are some things that can never be explained away guys!
  9. Great images!Leave it to Mack to design a dual mixer! Thanks for sharing this neat stuff.
  10. I am no expert by any means but have you considered using a medium to dark metallic gray as a base color?
  11. I seriously doubt that one I one hundred people would know exactly what that trim looks like on a '59 Mercury. So why not replace both sides with identical ribbing that is as close as you can find and No one will notice unless you point but out(nd why would you want do that!).next best bet would either find a glue bomb '59 with good ribbing and either swap the panels or make mold from the good ribbing, cast them and swap those in.
  12. Nice blending of your dio with what appears to be a real background.
  13. You really have to Want a Charger to do all this work!
  14. Thanks again for staging your photos so carefully.Showing components separately along side those parts assembled is a very thoughtful thing to do.
  15. PM me with your email address and I'll send sone photos of my trailers.
  16. I am in awe of the builder of these scratch built Airstream trailers! This builder has exceptional metal skills to shape those segmented end shells and replicate the rivets so well.Somebody please issue an APB to identify this person!!
  17. Hammered,slammed,scooped and tunneled....Lookin real sweet.
  18. Very creative!
  19. Very resourceful using the pen caps fir headlight buckets. We should all look at stuff like that and imagine what it Can be and Not what it is.
  20. I just found this thread this morning but the photos are no longer available.I really would like to see them if that's possible.I have finished a model of a '35 Airstream recently that came out very nicely.I think the Airfloat design with the rows of porthole Windows are absolutely beautiful.Any help with the photos is greatly appreciated. You can PM me and I'll share my '35 Airstream Torpedo photos with you.
  21. Remember that the real cars were base models with no rear seats and very minimal exterior or internal chrome trim. They were real work horses for contractors and plumbers so by the time they were traded in they were really beat up and worn out.Nice paint is evident.Good luck with the final few steps you have left to complete.
  22. Great expansion on a theme. Two beautiful models that compliment each other perfectly.
  23. Nice woody!
  24. Impressive body of work! How long did it take to complete them as a group?I would like to see them photographed off those bases and all lined up in a row. Thanks for sharing.
