Still no engine yet (maybe 69 Mach1 428) but the exterior is pretty much done. I went back to using the crappy 66 Mustang chassis as the later 67GT350 tire track was too wide.
I just bought a brand new complete Monogram Boss 302 for $10. The original price tag was $9.50. I would not pay more than $7 or $8 for an incomplete kit.
If much improved kits (say a real Boss 351 or 71/73 Mach1) was done I would gladly sell most of the incorrect AMT and MPC kits I have collected over the years. Since there is about a 2% chance of that happening I will turn those deficient kits into something resembling the real thing. My definition is nostalgia is holding on to old stuff because something better has not come along.
yeah I got there ten minutes before 9am and got in ten minutes after nine. Someone tell me again why people get there at 6:30 to stand outside in cold damp weather to get in 20 minutes before I did. Aside from parking closer that is the ONLY reason I can figure out. It's surely not to get an early bird door prize or a deal on a $150 kit that is 75% off LOL. I do not get it - some one chime in that gets there 2.5 hours before the doors open and explain your reasoning.
