Super nice. Is it grabber blue or Ford corporate blue?

Not sure if that exhaust would be legal but anything done to a Mustang II is an improvement. Is the engine from the Cougar kit?

Excellent job on a challenging kit. I like the darker green versus the lighter stock color.

Monogram 427 kit with wire wheels which usually came on the 289's. That big block would have twisted those rims like pretzels.

Just remember to look up the firing order of the engine you are building or you model will not run right.- 23 replies

I like the use of different colors on the suspension and drivetrain. It makes them stand out. I like the color but black is my favorite.

Polishing paint without clear?
vamach1 replied to 1hobby1's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Not sure if you covered the Cobra emblems with foil. The paint will build up and be hard to remove. The respray looks much better. -

Built up on Evilbay for sale. Looks complete except for wheels and mirrors. Nice original pic is included too. Interesting the tailpipes are like the 69/70 Shelby so it may be the second version of this car with the larger front nose.

Missing are 67-73 coupes and 66-73 convertibles. Except for the 69 Shelby convertible you have to rely on resin kits or scratch building. The diecast sellers like FM and Danbury Mint did a pretty good job filling some of the gaps. -

call 410-768-3648 or email replmincomd@aol.com for ordering info. The order from states minimum $30 credit card order and $11 shipping and handling. Norm does not have a website but as most of us know he sells hundreds of other one of kind resin parts and bodies and detail parts.

No complaints about the kit at all. It is weird they never did a GT500 version.

Thanks for the references everyone. My google search did not bring up his website with all the great photos. I have met Mr. Auxier at Carlisle and have a reprint of one of the pics on the 71 Mustang.

Any early 70's Prostock experts out there? I plan to build the fictional Minuteman Mustang but from looking at the instructions the only interior supplied is the bone stock one with the standard Mach1 dash, stock rear seats, door panels, center console, roll bar and two small racing seats. I have to assume this is a joke and the real cars ran a gutted interior with a full roll cage, one racing seat and racing instruments. The Sunstar 1/18 diecast looks more on the mark as a reference but it still appears to have the stock door panels and maybe dash. Can anyone provide period pictures or set me straight as to what would be correct for this era.
