  1. Looks like the kits have hit the market. There’s one listed on Ebay by a seller in California. Am I going to spend $40 with tax and shipping for one? No. I’ll wait until the HL get’s them and use a coupon. Despite living in an area with millions of people with 20 miles of my house the local hobby shops have all but disappeared. The decals for the trunk look promising but the rest is too blurry to make out.
  2. That last 2% seems to be taking a really long time. No updates on website for two years.
  3. It’s cool to build a replica of a family members car. You may want to get a hold of a complete AMT fastback kit as a donor which should have whatever parts you need. Typically the panels in the back area would only have a window crank and maybe an ashtray on one side.
  4. But we still need a REAL looking Boss 351 engine and not a 302 or a 428 from old 60’s MPC kits. And the ram air system and dual oval mufflers etc etc. that are NOT in either the MPC or AMT kits and I doubt ever will be. Hopefully Revell will cover all that and then some.
  5. I guess you have to go back to 1976 when I bought a used 72 Mach1. The another one in 1981. Then a 72 sprint convertible in 1985 and a 73 convertible in the last 90’s and another 72 Spring convertible about 15 years ago. So that pretty much says why although I have owned a 85 convertible, 2004 Mach1, 2003 Cobra, and 2014 convertible (All Mustangs of course). Unlike some who think the 71-73 is too large, to me it was more affordable than 69-70’s and eventually the aftermarket started making upgraded seats, etc. On the same vein I have seen the 2021 Mach1 and the styling just isn’t my cup of tea but perhaps Ford will get some feedback and add more retro touches and appeal to people old enough to remember the 69-73’s. I added the rear spoiler on the 72 Mach1 after I built that Japanese kit about 20 years ago so it’s due for one to match it’s big brother.
  6. Sounds like being in Canada is costing more because of tariffs. I’ve ordered many things from the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Japan and China and was never charged an extra fee living in the US.
  7. Pretty much correct. The 72 sprints and the springtime models had the “sportlamps” and “rubber” color-keyed front bumper. Of course all the 73’s had front bumpers the same color as the body color. Not sure if all the springtime editions were coupes.
  8. Good eyes. I guess I will be adding a few more to my grille and bumper supply. On most builds I will end up using the grilles and bumpers from Kevin Lutz.
  9. You may want to spring for these 3D parts too. There are some very expensive upgrade kits by KA but he price on this 3D engine accessory kit I found was reasonable . I paid about $150 USD for the Trumpeter kit on sale at a Hobby Shop years ago which was a very good price back then.
  10. I think many of us fall in the fanatic category compared to our non-collecting friends.
  11. Looking forward to these also. I think building them in batches (although each one is different) is the way to go.
  12. There’s always 2021 but at the rate things are going there may be any shows until late spring or summer. ?
  13. At a loss for words. Well done sir. Next year I need to get more GT40’s built - perhaps the entire 66 Lemans lineup.
  14. Another awesome build as always. This reminds me that I would love to see the VRM decals for sale at some point so if you have any influence in making that happen I’m sure several sets could be sold.
  15. ? Another fantastic build.
  16. Sharp build as always. ? I found this picture online - looks like it got a little loose. ?
  17. Cool box art sold a lot of Palmer kits too back in the day too. ?
  18. I never shake my drink. ?
  19. It’s not all of them but I needed to do some organizing of the ones I have that are NOT on display.
  20. The largest Walmart near me has a Hobby Lobby very close by (in the old ToysRus store) and of course HL has the same kits and more at 40% off AND all the supplies and paints, etc and not just some six color paint sets. As for the typical customer I see in these two stores that happen to be selling the same thing this month, I’ll let you all imagine why I prefer HL over Walmart anytime. Once these kits are sold (and probably only at select stores) they will disappear from the shelves until a new batch comes in next December. Perhaps there are a few that are roughly the same price that HL may not have in stock but yesterday at 1pm in the afternoon you would have thought there was a snowstorm coming as every line in Walmart had at least five people in line and no models to be seen anywhere, mostly food and paper products. I did buy one 1/64 M2 car (Mustang Gasser) that the HL did not have. I really do miss ToysRus for the diecast selection.
  21. I’m guessing 95% or more of the SA to FSM “converts” will not renew. The 1st issue I received had almost zilch about car models. As for the barrage of emails, they are pretty annoying.
  22. Wow. I was toying with the idea of modifying a kit I bought to use this engine in 1/25 scale.
  23. Thanks Gary.
  24. The Gulf station is fairly new so I decided to add a few cars to the scene.
