  1. P&P resins has the V12 Detroit kit and the Allison trans.
  2. Too cool!! It looks like a steam train and an Osh Kosh had a baby dump truck.
  3. Excellent job. I love seeing a whole slew of parts from different vendors brought together. Its truly the great thing about this hobby.
  4. Its been a long time since Ive built one, but it was nothing like the AMT trailer. I remember it going together pretty easy and fitting together with no issues.
  5. My vote is for the frame mounted Hyd tank, non wide fronts, and a tag axle. Good luck, Im looking forward to this. Ive got a few DR dumpers on the bench myself.
  6. Ive done all of mine in variations of the box art. I even plan on doing my first Revell tri axle 359 rotator in the original Amt box art. Powder blue & white w/ red pinstriping. I definitley prefer the classic paint jobs. Some modern wreckers are a little ridiculous. But, Ive been accused of being old fashioned.
  7. Its not a bad kit, and thats not a bad price. This was the first kit I built when I got back into modeling years ago. I built the Pete into a tractor and put the wrecker body on a Watkins KW.The Pete has been rebuilt many times, as has the KW. The KW is waiting to be turned into the Tyrone Malone Boss truck like the one Alan built. The Pete is awaiting another rebuild. I might put the revell chrome dump body on it.
  8. Cool. Keep in mind that the wrecker body is too wide. Youll need to remove .250 from the width for it to fit the axles better. Ben Wicker has a resin PTO also. AMT has the winches working by imagination instead of chain drive or hydraulic lines . I have some reference photos of this type of wrecker whenever you get around to building it.
  9. It wont interfere anymore than the sleeper being there.
  10. . Which issue is it, the Unilight cab or 1100 cab?
  11. Very sorry to hear that. I cant imagine what your going through. For whats its worth, excellent job on the vans.
  12. I too noticed some odd things about this kit. It seems to be based on a Nascar setup. The front end sits way to low, the inner fenders are gone and replaced with bars, and the front fenders have been cut higher as you noticed.
  13. I just discovered this thread, and my mind is blown. I dont even know what to say, except that I am thoroughly impressed. I have never seen such an amazing build. Im totally unfamiliar with this type of car but nonetheless, this is exceptional.
  14. 7/16 is slightly bigger than 10" in 1/25 scale, but only by .035. Heres a link to a scale calculator that has been very helpful at times. http://jbwid.com/scalcalc.htm
  15. Congratulations man. Being a Dad is the best thing in the world. Im happy for you
  16. Excellent work. The wheels are a great upgrade. Great job on the paint, and the wood detail on the trailer. Hopefully this leads to more........
  17. Im tryin guys! The tool boxes are done, as is the lightbar. I may be able to steal some time this weekend and get it moulded. Would you guys prefer the slam locks moulded in the doors, or seperately?
  18. See if you can get this one "Im gonna open up myself a flee market"
  19. Well,my wife has me remodeling the house right now. Its not the kind of modeling I want to be doing. Besides having a ton of cabs to mould and cast, I have a few projects on the brain. Im currently working on a box stock Autocar Dump truck, and want to build a matching truck with a dump trailer instead of the tandem body. I want to build some 1/16 Peterbilts and finish up some lingering builds.
  20. Id be happy to. Is there a link?
  21. Congratulations
  22. Someone got the title, but not the band
  23. If possible, Id like to see some close-ups of that rear axle set up.
