  1. Thanks Jesse. Another big pic site is from a photographer, Kaase?? Or similar name. Gassers, dragsters, stockers and altereds. Lots of vintage pics. ???? Anyone?
  2. Hi Richard, yes high tech is good. As a trucker, I'm sure you have daily incidents with dumb folks with the silly phone at their ear, instead of concentrating on the road and others too. Greetings to Holland.
  3. Ray this is sad news. Family is something very special, and a loss is a tough road to go. I have an older sister, for my whole life under the impression she's an alien. But still would not want to hear of her passing. Faith is good now.
  4. Kenneth, those plastic boxes are familiar, still wish the inner walls could allow more storage. At least they stack well. Is the 4 legger a Dachsund? In Germany, a Dackel. A wondeful breed, zany, thick-headed and hilarious, I love them!!!
  5. Retired now, just doing occasional things to keep the momentum. Crowns and bridges, implants and precision removable appliances. Read teeth. Life is good.
  6. ....I have legalized robbery called it relief I have run with the money and have a hid like a thief.
  7. Pete, I wouldn't give this a single thought. Consider it rather so, after all these years, "I'm finally becoming somewhat wiser".
  8. Great pics Ed! Something that really pleased me this weekend was the new eyeglass prescription. Near sighted, but my vision has gotten better through the years! Vision is a lot better now.
  9. Anyone have any info about this web address? It seems I can't find it anymore. Can anyone help? I'm building currently a new altered model and would like some info on a particular area. Thanks in advance.
  10. This is some really tough news to hear about, hang in there Harry. You're a central figure here, this shows that you posted this intimate information, and this is a positive response from your part. Try and think positive after the initial news has settled somewhat. Modern times will help you along.
  11. Scott, I know those! My wife has an Italian girlfriend, she made me one of those from a slice of day old long white bread. She spread some tomato paste on the bread with butter too, and fried the slice in olive oil with a couple of olives and capers and a couple of tomato slices along with it. The egg in the middle or thereabouts (many of those rustic white Italian breads have a hole somewhere). The taste is sensational! Thanks for posting the pic and story. I forgot all about how simple and excellent Euro sandwiches can be.
  12. I just watched the chase on the tube. The Charger handled similar to a hearse! Geez, what a sled. What did that thing weigh anyway? lol, the flying hub caps!
  13. "Bullitt" was shown again recently here on TV. I noticed at least two Mustangs, every once and a while the car is missing an outside rear mirror, then it pops up again. This was before it got beat up and crashed. I read once about the Chargers, but don't remember how many. I do know, the 440 Mopar ran circles around the puny 390 and this irritated "The Man". So Jack Roush did some work on it which improved the performance. Still wasn't enough though. Interesting too, the Mustang was peg-legged. Great movie, I still enjoy watching it.
  14. My 1st PC for work, back in '91, had the big floppy drives for backups. The next one a year later had the 3.5 types. MS DOS though, no way was I able to get at the info stored. Finally, about '94, I changed over to Win 3.11 or something. All the backups I religiously saved were even more useless. What a pest. Win 98 was a real breakthrough. XP even better. I had that one for the whole run, storage, backups and recovery went mostly fairly well. Just the HDD's were wacky. Lots of failures with those, lots of lost data, regardless of the name brand. What a pita. I'm hoping Win 7 and SSD's will have a longer life. This notebook I use here has Win 10, and something is always delaying, maybe constant updating? I've had it with Win 10, I want my Win7 notebook back. This weekend I'm making the backwards move.
  15. I hope all goes well for you. About the noise, don't they offer headphones with a music of your choice, radio station? The last years I've had acquaintance with the tubes, various areas. The headphones are great!
  16. Spike is stirring the pot again guys, he loves doing it. This topic is about what irked you today. I think I'd be irked as well at what happened. "Foul language" is a little far fetched, my opinion. Spike might like to have a closer look at his act, I see room for improvement.
  17. Hurrah! The wife found the keys to the safe deposit box. Relief.
  18. Thanks Robert for the tip you gave me recently, greatly appreciated! Again, great that the technology is available for those that can use it, and of course for the industry involved.
  19. What he says. What was that again?
  20. Paint problems, man I hear that! Sorry Mike to hear about this, lots of work trying to get the situation back to normal, good luck to you.
  21. Rich, I hear that! Also, you try to call home and no answer. The wife has 3 telephone numbers plus the smartphone. Often though, I can't reach her when needed. Back in the old days, the telephone in the hallway, stationary, was always at hand. Modern times seem to be not always more modern.
  22. Do I get it right? Purse = pocketbook (cash), or purse = effeminate dude carrying such (wussie)? Just asking.
  23. At least the new Mopars have older 70's Mopar colors. I agree though, the two in the back have my preference. I don't see many new US cars in Germany. Occasionally a new Camaro, Mustang or Challenger that GI's buy then have them shipped over here. They all look way too fat in my opinion. The appear to be a 1:24 scale among lots of 1:25 cars. Overweight and fat looking, not sleek and cool like they could be. I remember well the 67 Camaro, it looks like a starved beast in comparison to it's successor.
  24. By the way, Ray that's a real smooth surface you're milling there, looks fantastic! How is the cutting oil working out compared to past ventures?
  25. Another example of addiction. The wife has a girlfriend buddy now for more than 35 years, she's a claims attorney for various and dubious insurance companies. Read, she's 50+ yrs. old. Single. When she comes to visit, it's a laugh a minute, guaranteed. The gal is hilarious and also politically interested. She and I get along very well. The last 2 years, she comes over and while out on the terrace for instance, she keeps checking her purse for action (smartphone). The wife may go to the kitchen for refreshments, she grabs her purse immediately to have a peek at her display. I look at her and grin, she laughs like a kid that just got away with something, then shuts the thing off. No work on her smartphone, it's all other junk that can wait. Addiction. She admits it too. But she laughs again with a cool twinkle in her eyes and all is good. I have a simple cell phone for minimal communication, and for emergencies when I'm out in the boondocks alone. Actually, I used it once in an emergency and was very happy to have had it available. A golf buddy used it once too, he had suffered a light heart attack and called for help. So guys, charge up the silly thing, the wife is right. Take it with you, it can be very helpful!
