Hi guys, Do the Modelhaus Kits contain a chassis as well? I have a buddy that would like to have the 60 Olds 98 2dr., but is not sure about the chassis. Anyone? Thanks, Michael

Guys, those are some fine looking models! What I love about the period are the Rallye Wheels, from all of the Muscle Car makers. GM had some beauties! But my favorite is still, on a Mopar, steel rims and nut caps. They just look sinister. Thanks Fred-freakshow12, that's some fine detail work there. Don't see many E Bodies with steelies. Michael

"All the Mopar OEM built cars were hardtops".... I'm not an expert, but I understand there were a couple of sedan types as well from the first originals. Maybe two or so. I'm not sure either if OEM is quite correct, as the factory itself didn't do the cars. I'm probably wrong though. Jason, that's a real nice looking model! Always an interesting topic. Michael

Hi Steve, Very good looking model! I don't know much about Fords, but I did see often back in the day (I mean 1964, and 65) a 64 Thunderbolt from a near area at the local non-NHRA dragstrip. I can remember the car would really jump violently at green and the front wheels would invert, I mean the top of the wheels would really move towards the center line of the chassis. It was a 4 spd. car. I don't know the proper terminology, but I never noticed this on any other race car. It was a thrill to watch! Loud and quick and good looking. Is the hood scoop correct for this 63 model? Also, as I'm reading your intro, I thought the A/FX class came a year or so later. Good looking model. Michael

Hi Brad, OK, good idea with the slit, this way you get enough retention for Z-a-G to do its thing. This is really working out to be information that I can use for my upcoming Hot Rod and Altered builds. I'm nuts about these type of cars because there is no real plan for them, do as you please, but do it good, and right. The front axle is highly visible and leaves lots of room for improvement. With your technique, this goal has become well within reach for what I would like to see and do. I've found in the meantime some precision model shops in Germany that offer decent nuts and bolts in proper scale, and I don't have to pay exorbitant shipping prices. I will though soon be ordering parts like rod ends and for future builds some really good looking 4 link setups from some of the guys here on this forum. Michael

Good news, Zap a Gap is available in Germany. I checked out the reference numbers on the parts used, so I've zeroed in the sizes. Things are looking good so far. Michael

Thanks Brad, I've saved the info! By the way, I'm at a front end suspension right now, but I bought the wrong kind of solder for brass profile pieces. Also, here a real secret type of tip for aluminum in scale. My old business backup disks, I have a ton of them left over, excellent stuff! I just made a motor plate for a 32 Ford with the stuff, great! Michael

Brad, that's sick. OK, spill the beans, tell me what size nuts and bolts? Are the nuts 00-90? I'm trying to weed my way through all kinds of websites for mini hardware options. I see some nice things, but I'm not sure of the scale, and I'm confused about sizes. I prefer metric system. Can you tell us about the rods ends too? The work looks fantastic! Just one more though, is the front supposed to be non sprung? Is the unit mounted backwards? (Tie rods to the front?) Michael PS: About Zap-A-Gap, I have to laugh now. I'm going to my local Hardware Store (I live in Germany!), and telling the dude there, in German, "I need some zap-a-gap". Like the German word for a bra is; "Stoppen-Z-Floppen".

Hello Tim, Once again juat a wonderful model. How could anyone critize this detail. I asked on the 33 Willys build about the front suspension, what size nuts and bolts. Thanks, i have the proper sizes zeroed in. Question: I'm really enthused about the A arms and spindles. Do you use a self made jig or something of this nature for the construction? Also, would you think on a 1:25 model, just about any hot rod or drag car, the same suspension size and type would interchange? In other words, how much would you have to change for a different model? Thanks again, Michael

I like altereds! Question: Does anyone know about when racers stopped using Halibrand rear ends? Were they strong enough to put up with the power and abuse for any length of time? A very interesting car. Michael
