  1. My money is better spent at the local hobby shop.
  2. I'm ready with $$ when you are ready to start sellin' em.
  3. -Any earlier Revell VW Bug kit. The engine is BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH-ola, and outside of the Penny Pincher, I haven't found anything that'd make any good Baja. I'm gonna buy a bunch of resin VW stuff when the two fellows on this board start offering them..
  4. Years back, I got into building aircraft models for museums. RARELY would the curators even offer to cover my build expenses, let alone the cost of the kit or my time. Once, I was talked into "donating" a huge architectural model scratched in 1/144th scale. I did, nievely.. An architect friend valued it at over $10,000.00.. Yeah, seeing your stuff in a museum is neat, but work the details out beforehand.
  5. GO NORM! ..Now, just get a storefront on this interweb thingie..
  6. Chris is already building at a "Skill Level 3" ..even if he hasn't finished one of the three-or-so he's currently working on Good luck, buddy!
  7. The swap meet got me for fifty dollars-worth of Plastic Bliss... But what really blew me away is a fellow came up to me and said "Hi Chip.. Got something that's yours".. ..20 years ago, I lent this guy a model magazine with some scale drawings in it. He looked me up and gave it back to me, amazing.. Made my day.
  8. Sitting here in the air conditioning.. 'Bout 100 outside, but in the model room s a cool 73. Phoenix Native, wouldn't live anywhere else.
  9. ...Just don't lose your mail...
  10. I'm bringing a friend, and we're both there to buy.
  11. I worked as a jeweler for awhile. My $400. set of Swiss-made files were the bomb, but working on non-ferrous metals, the four-buck HF set did the job just as well.
  12. "We ain't no Spring Chickens 'round heah"..
  13. The next bigger model vise they sell is quite nice. It rotates 360 degrees around two axis's and has a small anvil on the back end. I have a bench shear for metal sheet, a 12 ton shop press and lots of bins, magnetic strips, and other handy stuff.
  14. Little "Gordon" brand AA battery powered LED lights, I have three magnetically mounted on three sides of my paint booth. The light from the 12-odd LED's on each unit is incredible.
  15. They do a good show still, who's opening?
  16. Docs say my ticker is already FUBAR, so adding some Buzz Juice is just like adding STP to a worn-out V8, just keeps the smokin' down.
  17. Yeah, BTDT.. My Wife brought home some instant drink mix the other day. -The stuff that you add to a 12oz. water bottle.. It was called "Wowberry"and said "Energy" on the box.. ..Tuarene, Guarene, Niacin, and even more Caffeine added.. Drank it just before bed with my sleeping pills without looking at the ingredients ... ..All-night model building session, except I'm ~~~~~shaKKKKKKin;~~~~~~~..... I feel your pain.
  18. ^^ What they said. Enamels take a LONG time to dry sometimes.
  19. If these have the quality and relative price of Gibson Engines, I'm good for at least a couple.
  20. ....Eeeyuck! Guess in ten years we'll be passing these things everywhere..
  21. ..Look how grey the tires are, that's some old rubber.. Beautiful build. Maybe see it at next GSL?
  22. He sells Chimneyville, Bill Bozo, etc. I've had good dealings with him.
  23. Paasche is a lot easier to get in the U.S. than Harder and Steenbeck.
  24. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (Arizona) decals for the Cars will do with the Expedition. Try Policecardecals on eBay.
  25. I like Humbrol, and the tinlets too. I seal them with a little candle wax if I'm not going to be using that color for awhile.
