I'm not sure I understand your question. I use Krylon Artist's Fixative for drawings and such, and I've had good luck using Floquil Crystal Cote to bring back old decals.

That said, IMO, as long as I can correct any flaws in the subject kit I'm building, I'm good.

Having went to a silversmithing school, I'm up on investment casting and all the other jeweler's arts, but using resin and RTV are a whole different thing. I'm really looking forward to this.
Car model; around 40.00 for a 1/8 Exterminator Dragster.
Airplane; 60.00 for a 1/32 F4J Tamiya Phantom.
-And scratchbuilt project; 540.00 for a architectural diorama.
Get a good sable dagger and two-three colors of One-Shot, and a rag and paint thinner. Practice on an old white refrigerator, cleaning it between practice sessions. Keep the dagger clean and wet with linseed oil when not in use.
Also, make and use a Mahle stick.

Myself, and others on this forum suffer from debilitating health issues. Sometimes it's difficult to build when you get shaky. The Google device is about 400.00.. -if that could be adapted to hold a X-Acto or a paintbrush?
