  1. Be careful with picking the finished model up. The suspension tends to sag a mite and the whole front assembly is pretty fragile.
  2. My best wishes to you. It's a reminder to set priorities and your well-being is paramount. Get well.
  3. 1/32? I have an older ARII Midget (1958?) in the stash.
  4. I'm an old motorcycle mechanic nowdays. I restore old Guzzi's, Hondas, what-have-you.
  5. Heck, I like it. Give the guy an E for effort and say "Forget Ford, Truman has a better idea".
  6. Once did a freehand cutting job in my lap using a Dremel and ten-zillion rpm metal saw disc. Slipped, dropped the saw in my lap and darn near cut off my ... testors!
  7. ...Did we just get nuked? I KNEW I shouldn't have watched "The Interview" last night.... Coed's are lookin' fine in their shorts walking around ASU right now..
  8. Of course, there's the Shockwave truck.... I fly a Powered Parachute, and there's a three cylinder Geo Metro engine in the works for it someday.
  9. Could be Mike, I can't get a good enough enlargement to tell. Looks like a Kaw crankcase though. Good eyes!
  10. "D5W and transport, STAT. -Rampart, out."
  11. 'Two stroke, three cylinders' ..Sounds like the Suzuki GT750 "Water Buffalo" engine from the mid-70's.
  12. Amazon sells Rub N Buff.
  13. It CAN be done, and well. The right combination of surface prep, good quality flat brush, sanding between multiple coats, patience, and a lot of practice.
  14. Neato.. But that's keeping in mind one is disciplined enough to return the same tool to the same spot, each time. It's quite pretty and I'd love to have one.
  15. "ker-THUNK, ker-THUNK" ..That's Enzo spinning around in his coffin.
  16. I can generally always count on finding at least three dollars worth of parts in any kit.
  17. Great decal work. Look's real There's a guy on ebay selling the Hornby (Airfix?) Ford Focus kit in 1/32 for less than seven bucks. Any info on this one?
  18. Rub n'Buff, the old standby. Comes in different colors, still available.
  19. ...I keep body parts in mine. In fact, you can get a small guy's whole forearm and both disarticulated hands in one Lindberg 1/8 Exterminator box.. Bwahahahaha......
  20. I liked that movie, especially the Sphinx . Internet search, and if nada, write the producers of the movie or look thru the credits and find the prop shop.
  21. It's okay for making a quick copy of a raised detail, long as it's pretty small. I use it in a dark room and quickly put the tube back in it's opaque bag.
  22. I subscribe to the Easter Egg School of creativity. We're the guys that don't do Mark Gustavson-level body restyling, yet toss in a donut box in a police car build. I like to always add something ~just slightly~ different in models I do. Antenna ball, anybody?
  23. For some fool reason I thought (Back in 1995) that the General Lee might never be produced again due to political correctness issues with the roof art.. I built five of them thinking maybe they'd sell to the collector crowd.. Sold three for 100 bucks ea anyway . Gave the other two as gifts. I'm happy with that. And happy the kit is still the same, hopefully forever.
  24. I have a Co2 setup. Powered by a tank (30#) I got from the local Coca Cola distributer. Cost of tank and regulator about $130.00. I've switched back to a SENCO compressor/tank combo. Pretty quiet and with an external regulator it works just as well for me. Again, about $130.00 or the whole rig.
