  1. The "Parters" that sell individual parts from a kit, and they list them all in a row. On average they ask $4.95 a part, and a kit will have 70 to a 120 parts. That's about $350 to $600 a kit (if they sell all the parts, which I doubt). I bet they have a lot of incomplete kits sitting around. I find them very "not fun" when I am surfing the bay for a kit.
  2. You did well. Isn't it rewarding to finish a difficult kit.
  3. My only intent was to add some humor to a bad situation. Come on Guys try and lighten up. This will pass. "When life gives your a Lemon, it's time to make Lemonade."
  4. Got this today from a fellow modeler.
  5. And "Rap Music" will be the Golden Oldies.
  6. That's for sure. What happen to chocolate ice cream? Finally, "Expect nothing and ye shall not be disappointed".
  7. The decal sheet is the key. It was packed in May of 1978.
  8. Wow! How about an under carriage pic.
  9. I like that. I did the opposite, used the Revell Willys pickup body and chassis but fitted the AMT Willys pickup bed on it.
  10. Not yet, but I'll try to put one together for you. PM sent.
  11. Very nice collection. I have done a similar grouping but they all are race car versions.
  12. Wow, I like that.
  13. Agree, NASCAR lost me when the came out with the cookie cutter CoT. Nice Road Runner.
  14. Also, a good idea. Although, I will probably just extend the BMF strip along the hood where the character line should be..
  15. Great work so far. One thing that always bugged me about the AMT Willys verses The Revell version is the shape of the hinged front body piece. It looks to large compared to the rest of the body. Like Snake45 did, I have scribed off the hood on mine and the fenders look okay. It's was the hood, it's too tall. I plan on sanding down the lower edges until it looks better.
  16. Love the stance.
  17. I'd do one in Dick Landy silver with a black vinyl top, but that's just me.
  18. Oh, I wondered why it was still there.
  19. There's a 1968 Dodge Coronet (built, looks like a good job) listed on Ebay right now. It is listed as a "Ertle 1968 Dodge Charger" but it's a Coronet. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ertle-1968-Dodge-Charger-1-24-Scale/184128608218?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160811114145%26meid%3D92dc0daf430f40a681cdaed3c0c0963f%26pid%3D100667%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D8%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D184128608218%26itm%3D184128608218%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2334524&_trksid=p2334524.c100667.m2042 Missing the front grill. Buy it now for $19.50 plus $13.65 shipping. Sic'em!!
  20. Looks much better. I cut my bumper too, and it really helps. Thanks for the lesson.
  21. Hey, great idea. I think I could live with body colored rear bumper, same as the front one..
  22. X2!! I saved this tread for future reference when I get to mine. What are you going to do about the rear bumper being to wide?
  23. MPC had the "Wild Willie Borsch" '23 T and "Bantam Blast" fuel altered kits. AMT had the Double Dragster kit with an Fiat body altered, (although it was during the fuel ban). Revell had the '23 T body, Bantam body and Fiat bodies in their rare double kits. Don't recall an Anglia altered (gasser?) kit.
