  1. I remember seeing the Batmobile on display at a car showback when the TV series first started. And remember that I was a bit surprised that it was not shiny but more like a satin black edit: just read were they were "Bat-Flocked" at one time. (there were also 3 replicates made by Barris)
  2. I have a MPC Boss 351 and the details on the intake manifold and valve covers are so basic you couldn't tell what engine it had in it (supposed to be a Cleveland)
  3. on a engine block (318 is the only real engine I have available) is 22" long. in 1/25th that would be about (.88), .0366(about 1/32nd) longer than in 1/24th.(.916 Not sure how accurate the kit builders get to actual scale but for me that would be a un-noticeable difference. Some builders do like to get it dead nuts on tho. Your results may very Just passing along the info
  4. Stock valve covers has a raised area on one end
  5. I did a google search before I posted and found nothing. Facebook post was represented to be from i nephew. ?? Did another search anything posted about it was posted yesterday , nothing about April 2011.??
  6. Was it downloaded to your computer or saved to a photobucket type site ?
  7. The AMT 34 Ford Street Rod and the AMT 49 Merc both come with chrome reverse with baby moons. You could always paint the area between the baby moons and the outer rim the color you want.
  8. I find if I use the line marked "img" on PB it seems to work for me. On other sites I use the one marked "direct" but on here II just get a link posted and not the pic.
  9. This came up on my F/B page today : Bill Maverick Golden remembered for Drag Racing and of course the "Little Red Wagon" has passed on
  10. From what I can see they look like stock steel wheels with baby moons and trim rings.
  11. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v284/shadowolf50/duke2.jpg from my photobucket, (it took three tries but figured out which fie type to copy before I got a photo rather than just a link) http://smg.photobucket.com/user/shadowolf50/media/duke2.jpg.html
  12. use the drop down menu to the right of your name in the upper right corner. Click on "attachments" A list of pictures will come up. Click on the tiny garbage pail on the right to delete that attachment. And yes your post will be missing the photos you deleted. Hope this helps
  13. check your "attachment" total. I found out if it is full you cant download any more pics unless you delete some old ones.
  14. Styling cues brought forward from the 65 Mustang Fastback and the Mach I Mustang
  15. Would disc brakes be included in the Traditional Hot Rod" category ? First used on American cars in 1963 (Avanti) and then in all of the big 4 in 1965. I personally would not put them in a "THR" build (Love your THR photos)
  16. I made my own vacuum former that has about a 8"x 14" area. I made this to duplicate a Cobra Daytona body for slot car racing. My problem was that it would not curve in around the lower part of the body. It would just go straight down and not go in to the lower sides. Never tried using it for any thing since.
  17. You do know I have it copy righted don't you ?
  18. Other than the clear coated bare steel body I like it (you ever going to get over the "same group" thing? I am totally past it myself)
  19. We could always do a build on Jan and Deans "Schlock Rod" Did they make a 48 Buick kit?
  20. The Deuce on the album does not represent the car in the song very well. First of all Olds OHV not a Flattie. Secondly there is to much custom work on it Should be a bit more on the basic lower budget type ride. The Hot Rod Lincoln has fenders and has a V12 and its has a song of it's own (originally it was black, not red). My vision of the "Lil Deuce Coupe would be a 3 or 5 window, none fendered with a flathead Close to this
  21. Welcome to the forum From the sounds of your interests you and I have a few things in common. I have spent a lot of time sitting in traffic in Dundee LOL Check out my Facebook page (link in my signature). I started it because I also found myself with more kits in the attic that I can build. So I set up a page so I can find local modelers that can trade or sell and just show off there work. And just BS some
  22. Thank you for the information Tom I am going to duplicate the 66 1:1 that I now own. I have most everything I need. You could stuff a Hemi in one but only with major modifications. The 66 did not have the bulge (?) along the top of the front fenders and I think the tail lights may be different also. Not mention the Barracuda on the grill and the lack of the Valiant badgeing. I consider the 64 and 65 a Valiant with a Sport Roof and the 66 as the unofficial first Barracuda.
  23. I had a 71 Pinto with side pipes. Had them on both sides but I only used the one on the right.
  24. I picked up a partial ERTL (?) 66 Barracuda kit. I am not sure what kit its from as there was no box or instruction sheet. I did find a AMT 2 in 1 kits where this kit may have originated. There is also a 65 Barracuda. I believe they came with a slant 6 and a Hemi engine.
