I like it. Nice to see the scratch built suspension and exhaust .
  2. I only have the Ala Kart model but I do have a black & White photo of the Ala Kart the he signed for me a few years back and a few Barris Hot Wheels. And then there is is this magazine I found a few years ago. I think I may have another one but can't seem to find it right now.
  3. Having once owned a 49 and 50 Merc I know they are very heavy cars. Never thought of one as a Gasser but this works for me. Nice job.
  4. When did it originally come out. II vaguely remember having the kit back around the earl 60's.I don't remember finishing it but I do remember sticking the wires for the spark plug lights into a electrical socket and wacthing them explode
  5. Plan on building an Ala Kart sedan delivery sometime
  6. I think in 1957 most of the cars made the move to big stylish finned cars. Away from the boxie cars of the early fifties. Maybe not Chevy so much but at least they put a fin on it
  7. I like it. I like the opened canvas on the roof opening
  8. Those aren't too bad. I discovered that since I am going to lower the car I will have to flare them anyway. Those may actually be easier to add then the small ones are.
  9. All I can tell you is that its a 66. Did find one on a google image search listed as being made by Mad Dog resin. Couldn't find anything other than that.
  10. I checked them out. A little too much for me but thanks for the response
  11. only found these . I am not a fan of the wheels and would go a different route
  12. I am building a 2013 Challenger with some front and rear body mods. I have been thinking about adding some fender flares. Not sure if I want to go there yet. Thought I would see what the general opinion was on them or "wide body" mods.
  13. Not sure what to think about this one
  14. Sounds like the opening drag engine noise from a 60's Drag/Surf song. I just can't figure out which one LOL
  15. I did a Google image search and this is the only one I found without a hood
  16. Thanks for the info. I will be looking to get a IMC/Testors kit.
  17. Came in all sizes
  18. I have a 48 Ford Sedan Delivery resin body that was from an unknown Resin Caster. I am not sure of what donor kit I need. I do have a Revell/Mono 48 Ford Woody Kit on hand. Anybody know for sure if this kit will work or do I need another? Thanks Jon
  19. I now use PlastiKote acrylic lacquer clear with no problems and have used other clears as well
  20. Thanks for the replies. I will pin it.
  21. Very nice builds, I was unaware that there was a Z28 in 67. Everybody always talks about the SS, RS and SS/RS. Your post made me smarter today
  22. I have lots of AutoAir (Createx) paint left over from years ago when I was attempting to paint motorcycle tanks. I use them a lot. My only problem with them that if you try to clear over them with Future the surface is rough and it takes a lot of coats to get a smooth finish.
  23. What would be the best way to mount a Superbird wing, attache it before paint or after paint. Thought about maybe trying to put a small pin in the wing upright and putting a alignment hole in the fender. I did notice that on the 1:1 car the wing looks to be a separate part rather than blended into the fender. I would like the "separate" look. Thanks Jon
  24. Not being an expert like some folks here, but from what I have seen Revell will be my first choice when looking for a kit
