  1. I probably have a set of the smaller Desert Dogs, do you need wheel backs and wheels with them too? I will get back to you once I check the stash.
  2. Fireball Modelworks has some really nice 5 slot 8 lug wheels and also has some nice tires to go with them should you want them. https://fireballmodels.info/ Nice work on that Suburban.
  3. Nice tribute and looks like you are on your way to getting it done. Just a note on that donor kit- it is 4wd and has the different front end (81-87 model years). Check with Kris Morgan at Morgan Auto Detail, he has resin 78 Chevy longbed kit that also includes the bench seat. Has the side trim molded in and the grille. You will need a donor chassis and the Deserter kit can be elongated or you can buy a long bed frame from Texas 3D Customs. You will still need to fabricate a front suspension and depending on how accurate you want it to be, there might be some 3D printed options.
  4. Here is an option for the Revell kit: https://www.fabresinworks.com/newstore2020/product/1-25th-1967-camaro-hideaway-front-grill/ I cannot find anything on the AMT kits, at one time I think Modelhaus offered a grille but they are long out of business.
  5. Which kit are you planning on using? There are some choices depending on which kit you use.
  6. I'd be willing to bet that those kits will be late '24/early '25 considering they have so much already in the works. I do hope they decide to offer a wide range of kits from that tooling, long overdue!
  7. IIRC, Moebius decided to sell the plow set up separately after the plow kit had been out for awhile. I know some folks bought the pickup and plow kit for the chassis and not plow as I have done some trading with them. Additionally, the Revell GMC pickup and plow kit saw the same thing- some were after the truck, some were after the plow. To your point, the Midnite Cowboy wrecker bed has been slapped behind a few different cabs. Maybe if the Moebius wrecker does well Revell might either reissue the Midnite Cowboy kit or cobble up a kit using it and a different cab? As much as I would like to see Moebius sell the wrecker separately, I don't think that would happen.
  8. The wrecker bed is for the dual rear wheel setup, the utility bed is for single rear wheel set up. There was rumors/images of a possible dump bed version after the wrecker kit was released, which would utilize the dual rear wheel set up. I have a Modelhaus resin utility body that is designed to be used on a rear dual wheel chassis.
  9. I was a reader of the mag back in the day and discovered it's return a few years ago. I have a subscription and while it has changed with the times, it is still a good read. George Trosley is great artist and his work has been in all kinds of magazines over the years. I even have a CarToons t-shirt.
  10. Pre-ordered 2 last night from Wes's Model Car Corner, one will be 4wd and the other not sure

  12. Drag race legend, team owner and businessman Don Schumacher passed away from his battle with cancer today at the age of 79. One of the sports biggest names has passed on to the drag strip in the sky after so much he has given to motorsports.
  13. The WFH policy is a joke, I can attest to it as I have a harder time getting answers from the people who work a hybrid schedule on their "home" days versus their "office" days. Companies are willing to accept a reduced work output level because they are saving big $$$ by not having as much office space or utilities as a result of people working from home. I have been WFH for nearly 30 years as I am in field sales and my employer is on the other side of the country. Since Covid when my travel was curtailed, my food and utilities costs have risen and sadly my pay hasn't kept pace with inflation so I have suffered while my employer has benefited.
  14. Nice! Very clean and well detailed!
  15. Steve, thanks for the explanation, this should be pinned at the top of the section so whenever the topic comes up, it can be seen and you don't have to respond each time. A big thank you to you and the team for bringing this old kit back, looking forward to having it again and whatever else you have up your sleeve!
  16. That is a question for someone at Round2 to answer, I highly doubt any of us here know the exact costs involved. It likely depends on whether that updating can be done in house or has to be sent to an outside entity to do the work. What may seem like a simple task (and it possibly is) may cost thousands as it has to be reviewed, proofread and approved by many eyes, likely including a legal team. This kit was created in a time where we had fewer warning labels and people understood that sharp knives and glue were to be handled with caution.
  17. I would be willing to bet that the budgets for these reissues are based on the amount of work needed to get them back on the shelves and the ones with the least amount of work and higher selling potential win out over those that require more. While new instruction sheets would be nice, I am sure the cost and time involved may factor into whether or not a kit gets approved.
  18. So a couple of observations..... 1. Your view of the ACME NNL is based on other's comments and postings and not your actual attendance, am I right? So again, I ask, why must you comment on something for which you know little about? 2. Yes, people go to the same shows over and over again because they get to see friends and reconnect while sharing a mutual interest. That is basis of what socializing is about. Is it wrong to want to attend a gathering with people of whom you may be acquainted and enjoy a hobby? Apparently in your book it is. 3. Whatever it is you are trying to accomplish by mocking those that go to these events, not knowing if they are also attending other regional events, only shows your ignorance. Whatever makes you feel like you know more than the rest of us, keep believing!
  19. Harts Parts Resin has the 79-80 quad headlight grille available, did not see the single headlight grille on his website.
  20. Niteowl7710- Atlanta, NNL East, the old NNL in Toledo all seem like social functions that someone happens to be holding a model show during, rather than a MODEL CONTEST that attracts people to attend. Have you attended the Atlanta ACME show in recent years? If you had, you would note that there is quite the draw in both quality and quantity of builders. This year's event was in a new location (much larger) and was packed with vendors and model builders. I'd suggest you at least attend an event before commenting on what it is like.
  21. Will definitely be picking one or two of these up, already have a Fireball F-250 conversion kit ready for it.
  22. Interesting that they have the 2wd front suspension but only the 4wd tires. Not sure why the fleetside bed tail lamp bezels were included but my guess is that the chrome tree is shared between the two kits. I will definitely be picking up (pun intended) a couple of these kits but will be looking for better engine/trans combo to swap in.
  23. Check with Fireball Modelworks or ST Supply, they have tires that should work.
  24. Chad stated in the new video today that this kit is part of a bunch of new releases to that will hit the shelves in the next 4-6 weeks.
  25. Nice rig, love the 4wd conversion. I have the 2wd cousin of that truck in the "to be completed" pile....someday!
