  1. Thanks for sharing, I love this show but unfortunately had to be out of town on a work assignment and missed it.
  2. Heard some talk that the 85 Blazer is getting closer to reality. There were some test shots seen and it looks beautiful. Fingers crossed, I might be ordering a case of them.
  3. I believe the towing museum is in Chattanooga TN, where many wreckers are made.
  4. I'm with Zoom Zoom on this. While the finished product does somewhat resemble the 1:1, it's a far cry from being a true replica. More time spent refining the finish on the model would yield a better result; I see a rough pebble grain finish and a coat of clear would only exacerbate the flaws. Might want to work on that aspect of the printing.
  5. Have you checked out ST Supply ? Paul took over the Scenes Unlimited line and has some great truck tire options. https://stsupplyco.com/collections/scenes-unlimited
  6. Iceman Collections has this grille https://icemancollections.com/products/1-25-1970-chevy-grille The current issue of the AMT 72 pickup is easily available, have you looking into it for parts? I might have some NOS Modelhaus parts for the original kits/promos, send me a PM of what you are looking for and I will check.
  7. If you are up for some scratchbuilding, that could be done with some Evergreen or Plastruct sheet goods. Another option is to modify the camper in the recent 65 El Camino.
  8. Tom, Your masters are fantastic (I have a few resin castings of your work!) and I will have to grab this latest work, by chance have you considered doing a short bed version of this Ford bed? I personally would love to have a few if they ever became available.
  9. That is killer! You have quickly mastered the weathered/patina look and this one is awesome. Nice work buddy!
  10. The target market with this particular kit is not us adult builders, it is the young kid who thinks the truck is cool or who has a relative that drives one and wants a replica. That said, haven't compared the earlier kit with this one to see if it could be kit bashed.
  11. Outstanding, incredible details and paint!
  12. Don't be surprised if Round 2 comes out with a 4wd version of the long bed in the next year or two, it's a natural. The question is if they can find any of the parts shown above.
  13. Won't be buying anything in the video, but when that 64 Chevelle hits I will be lined up to get a few.
  14. I want to say it was about 2 weeks, maybe 2 and a half. He ships from Canada and I was expecting it to take longer but was pleasantly surprised. I believe he will only let you order what he has in stock to avoid long waits on orders.
  15. So I have a weakness for the beloved Chevettes and have a couple of unbuilt model kits as well as a half dozen promos. Here is a sampling of what I have;
  16. Nice looking rig. Are you going to add any lights?
  17. Looks like the axles out of a GM truck, is that from a Revell kit?
  18. That would have been my guess, thanks for sharing.
  19. The Jeep CJ-7, the Bronco half cab, the '57 Bel Air, the 64 Impala and the 68 Firebird are all due out next month.
  20. There is a 70ish IH 1100 pickup offered by Robert Burns (Too Many Projects on FB) that is a cab and bed. He also has some first gen Scouts. Zaina here on the forum offers some early '60's IH pickups that are 3D prints, a bit more detail than the above 1100 pickup.
  21. I am in agreement on the bench seat and while we're at it, for many of the other trucks out there that were kitted with buckets. That Revell 64-66 C-10 grille has always bugged me. For the Dodge D100, check out Harts Parts Resins, he has some grille options for the Dodge pickups along with hoods. The Olson Bros had some nice tool boxes for pickups, maybe someone could expand upon them to include boxes for medium and heavy duty trucks?
  22. I am in Charlotte and suffer the same fate. I have made Wes's Model Car Corner my go to shop for new issues like this. He's near Johnson City TN and it usually is a next day or 2 day ship time, depending on how fast the trucks are running. Here is the link: https://wesmodelcarcorner.myshopify.com/ He also has a FB page and posts information on it regularly as well as nearly every week he has a live show on Thursday nights where he opens up new releases and shows what is in the box as well as shares news and updates on kits and what is in the pipeline.
  23. He came on the country music scene about the time my wife got me into country music and he was one of the entertainers I enjoyed. Sad to see him pass from such an awful type of cancer but he is at peace and no longer suffering. The band in heaven just got a little better.
  24. I'm no expert but I will hazard a guess that the holidays and extra volume of mail and packages overwhelmed a system that was already struggling. I got Christmas cards into early January that had been mailed mid December so not surprised magazines were delayed.
  25. IIRC, the truck has the 2wd front suspension in it so one could build it as an LRE, just need some decals. If nothing else, swap the suspension with the recent 78 Dodge long bed kit and you will have what you need to build it. On a side note, I have pre-ordered a couple of the Warlock kits but can see getting a couple more later. Conversions and replicating some old trucks I remember from my youth will keep me busy.
