  1. I guess I can start saving now! That looks great, about dang time! I can see some cab swaps (Dodge & Chevy) in my future.
  2. Not sure if you do Facebook, but there are a couple of different FB pages that you can sell on, fewer restrictions than eBay and no fees that I am aware of. In regards to selling on here, you are correct. Now if you send messages via PM with a list or photos of what you will be selling, it would help some here identify what they want and help them help you in clearing out the stash.
  3. Technically, if you wanted to replicate the Daisy Jeep from the show you would use the Revell 77 CJ-7 kit as she drove one on the show. Don't recall her ever having the top up on the show, would defeat the whole purpose of her being in that outfit she wore! AMT/MPC uses this older CJ-5 kit because that is what they have in their inventory and also hold the licensing agreement for the DOH stuff. This kit has been around for a LONG time and uses the old 4 cylinder Hurricane engine. If you wanted to "update" this, you could source the L6 engine out of a Pacer kit. I doubt the molds still exist but there were some early versions of this Jeep kit that would be nice to have again, especially the ones with the V-6, half cab, service station and off road parts. In regards to the dually kit, interesting to note that there are two sets of wheels- plated and unplated- but it looks like only one set of tires. I will grab a couple of these, hoping some resin grilles are going to be available for this!
  4. Scenes Unlimited offered one as well, not sure if the new owner has one in the line as of yet but worth checking.
  5. The decals are available if you want to get another set. I got a resin body from Greg Wann to build one of these, an old high school friend has a real 1:1 67 pace car and it's on my list of cars to build! Nice old kit there!
  6. I have yet to get anything from Kris that wasn't top notch. Not sure how he is able to cast resin kits that look every bit as good as a regular model kit, but his stuff is awesome!
  7. check with Burbank Hobbies, they are out of stock but they list it for $13.99.
  8. Very nice, love the colors and the stance. How did you add the lower rocker trim behind the rear wheels?
  9. Half the value of the truck is those Michelin tires! Nice work on it Chuck, you have a knack for these kind of builds!
  10. Is it possible that someone could be attending in their absence to announce new kits? Maybe one of the kit vendors?
  11. It was mentioned on the Round2 Facebook page that Steve Goldman was going to be at the show with some new kit announcements. No exact specifics but should be interesting to see what they have up their sleeves. I suspect that by noon Saturday, if not sooner, the internet will be a buzz with the news of what is coming.
  12. I have several unbuilt versions of each kit. I also have several Chevette promos, not sure what's wrong with me but they find their way to my collection!
  13. Here's a couple of old MPC kits. The Jeep was only issued the one time like this with the snow plow and off road equipment together. The Chevette was a one year only, I believe it was updated to a '79 which had a different grille and options.
  14. Something similar to the mirrors in the Monogram F-350 kit would be close to what the factory offered.
  15. But the problem is that the uptop is misshapen (see ZoomZoom's comments above) so even if it was free, it still isn't a bargain. In addition to the rear of the piece being wrong, it appears the front doesn't meet up with the top of the windshield.
  16. Covid kicked my backside so I am a week late posting pictures. Andy does a great job printing and shipping these kits, gotta save my lunch money up for a couple of others he has available. Here's pictures of what I received, very nice indeed and when compared to some other 3D printed stuff, its quite the kit with all that is included.
  17. To be fair, Danny at Scenes Unlimited had been retired from his first career when he started SU years ago. And these last two years saw some serious health challenges for him and that is why he sold- he couldn't give the service he had previously and wants to enjoy life. I hope that Paul sees fit to offer the tires and wheels for pickups and SUVs that Danny developed, they filled a void for those of us seeking alternatives. I'm thinking Joseph at Fireball might have some new stuff soon, maybe after he completes his move this month.
  18. Kris Morgan at MAD offers a beautiful resin casting of a 78 Chevy long bed pickup with the side trim, even comes with a bench seat. The Deserter or the Sod Buster is the chassis donor. Surprised one of the 3D printer guys hasn't seen to offering a 2wd conversion for these kits.
  19. That's great Steve, any chance we will see some other versions with different grilles/model years?
  20. How are those Salvino kits, any better than their earlier attempts? I remember you being critical of the first kits they did and wonder if they have improved them enough for you to buy them now? Are you doing reviews of them?
  21. Sure beats that "hot knife" setup I bought in the 70's that basically melted the plastic.
  22. Having worked in the parts biz for 40 years, that is exactly what happened. And happens all the time, from OE to aftermarket, and the same happens with our little hobby when Revell or Round2 reissues a kit, they assign a new kit number with the same basic kit inside.
  23. As promised, here are two pictures of the Ford bed. Clean work, looks like a kit piece more than a resin one. Who ever did the conversion took the time to do the side trim correctly and fixed the wheel wells. Kris's stuff does not disappoint and his service is top notch.
  24. I just got home an hour ago from a week long business trip and my kit was delivered today. 9 days from when I placed my order to it being in my mailbox, which is very impressive considering that includes shipping from central Nebraska to Charlotte ! I will post pictures tomorrow, worn out from the week, but my first glance at it and it looks beautiful.
  25. I have that bed and it is beautiful! All of Kris's stuff is top notch. I will have to find it tomorrow and post a picture of it.
