  1. #4- Hell is for Children - Pat Benatar
  2. Thanks for sharing Tom, wish I could have made it to the show but some things got in the way. Should be at the Simpsonville show in May.
  3. I did find my resin kit (as pictured above) and am looking to trade/sell it. PM me with interest.
  4. In this modern age of online shopping or going to a big box store, there will be people who won't have memories of shopping at places like the one above. Hardware stores where the staff is friendly, helpful and maybe your neighbor, grocery stores that knew you and had butchers that could cut up steaks or other meats to your liking, gas stations where the attendant called you by name- yeah sounds a little like an episode from Andy Griffith but it was the time I grew up in. I know the convenience of shopping online, but I also like to walk the aisles of stores looking at product and discovering something new. Thanks for sharing those pictures, reminds me of a few old hobby shops from my youth.
  5. #1- Kiss #3- Eagles The song titles escape me.
  6. I don't think much has changed over the years with Perry's and their poor service. That said, a forum member here, NIck Winter, seems to be able to make contact with them and he is probably the best one to discuss it with via PM. I have wanted some stuff from them but a couple of horror stories is all I need to know to stay away.
  7. #4- Touch and Go / The Cars
  8. You have to get out more Harry. Don't you watch any news, either online or TV? There have been actors, musicians, athletes and others.
  9. Wow! Incredible! Stunning! That is one verrrrrry nice truck Mike! Followed that build and the end result is out of this world.
  10. The winners haven't come forward yet, probably doing some financial planning and getting new phone numbers. Sure hope they get a chance to enjoy their new found wealth.
  11. Yeah, what he said! Those are looking great, I like the idea of gluing the rear hatch window and tail gate.
  12. Geez Glenn, with luck like that, I sure hope you played the Powerball last night!
  13. All my dreaming is out the window, only had the Powerball on one ticket. Just hope at least of the three winners is a forum member and they get their dreams fulfilled.
  14. That is one great looking model. Nicely detailed, perfect paint and if I didn't know any better, I'd say it was the real thing!
  15. I would have a series of 67-72 GM trucks done- pickup, Blazer and Suburban in all variations that would replace the old dated AMT kits. Would make me happy and no doubt be a good seller for the model company.
  16. Just noticed that Tower Hobbies is showing this as back in stock. They must have fixed whatever was wrong, hopefully everyone who had bought one got their replacement parts.
  17. maybe after a few of you "lose control" they will re-think that policy.
  18. That is absolutely beautiful and I sure wish someone would offer that bed in resin or better yet, a complete kit like that! My opinion? Leave the push bar and roll bar off, it looks just fine without either one.
  19. Welcome! This is a great place to learn and share. There is a show next Saturday in Spartanburg that I would suggest you attend. There is a great model club (SCMA) and there will be a lot of models on display along with vendors to buy kits and parts from.
  20. I am a sucker for Camaros and this one is a nice replica of the one that started it all for me!
  21. Nice! I have one to finish, similar color. Very well detailed.
  22. there is a show in August that is a pretty good one, west of Winston Salem. Outside of that, there aren't a whole lot. There are some in SC. Check the Contest and Shows section for updates and coming events.
  23. Well, I personally would like to see a series of kits of the following: 67-72 GM Pickups as well as a Blazer and Suburban. I know the AMT kits are out there but they are tired. I would like to see shortbed and longbed pickups in both 2wd and 4wd, same with the Blazer and Suburban. 73-87 GM Pickups, Blazer and Suburban- see above 73-90 Dodge Pickup- again like the GMs, short and long beds with 2 & 4wd drivetrain options. 70-75 IH Pickup and Travellall kits, 2 & 4wd option 66-77 Ford Bronco kit 66-70 IH Scout Modern commercial beds for 1 ton trucks- wrecker bed, dump bed Modern Medium Duty truck with frame length options to build a dump, flatbed wrecker, wheellift wrecker I would push for accuracy with all of them, I would hate to compromise or tool up the rarely seen vehicle (like the current 79 Ford pickup or another LRE). If I was successful in getting The Modelhaus, I would look to add some resin truck pieces to their offering.
  24. Mine is simple. I would do the obvious (take care of family etc) but then I would look into what it would take to keep The Modelhaus in business. After that, maybe fund a couple of kits to be developed. I would consider opening a hobby shop (gonna need a tax write off!) that caters to model building and maybe trains but NO R/C. The type of place that stocks a bunch of kits and has all kinds of supplies and would have a room for builders that needed a spray booth so they could paint year round. I would also look for a piece of property to erect my barn for my soon to be awesome 1:1 car collection and talk to a couple of friends about commissioning them to find and build a couple of cars and trucks. I would concentrate on enjoying life and having fun, something winning even a share of the $900 million should provide.
  25. Was there not a complete kit of this? Do a search and I think you will find a kit, complete with decals.
