1/25 AMT 1978 Ford Bronco "Wild Hoss"
mikemodeler replied to Casey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Thankfully there are places like Fireball Modelworks with their offering of off road tires and hopefully Danny at Scenes Unlimited gets back up and running soon so we have his tires and wheels to choose from as well. Those Desert Dogs were in most 80's MPC truck kits as well as their Jeep CJ-5 kits and should be easily found.- 326 replies

Olson Brothers Resin
mikemodeler replied to Dale361's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Danny at Scenes Unlimited has had some health issues he has to deal with. He vows to get back to casting again when he is recovered and I don't doubt him. -
Try sending a PM to Gluhead here on the forum, it's either Jim or Chris Olson. I think Chris is the man behind the company and in the past has had some health issues, might be the case again or simply overwhelmed with orders and life. I have ordered many times and it usually was about a 4-6 week wait, sometimes longer, for my stuff. It never disappointed, just took awhile to get to me.

Olson Brothers Resin
mikemodeler replied to Dale361's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have ordered multiple times from Olson Bros and they do have great product. That said, some of the orders took a bit longer as they had health issues and supply issues getting resin which caused delays. Like many other resin companies, they have families, jobs and lives that sometimes slow them down. I always got my stuff, sometimes took awhile to arrive, but have always been pleased and got what I ordered. I believe one of them is a member here- Gluhead- so you might try sending him a PM to see if he can update you. -
I think the model companies have left this segment of the hobby to the aftermarket. Back in the day Satco offered truck and car tires and then resin casters stepped in. Not sure whatever happened to Alan Raab at Ma's Resin, but he had some nice tires but has been AWOL for some time. Fireball Modelworks and Scenes Unlimited have done some nice stuff and hopefully Danny at Scenes Unlimited gets his health issues resolved and he can re-open and help us truck guys out. If one really wants those AMT Dually wheels and Goodyear Wrangler AT tires from the 90's promos and snap kits, Modelhaus Tires offers them and they are exact copies of the kit offering.

Thinking a Pinto with a 3D printed Coyote swap and the US Mail graphics would be cool......

Check out Wes's Model Corner, great service and prices. https://wesmodelcarcorner.myshopify.com/products/pre-order-expected-delivery-1st-quarter-2022-moebius-1967-ford-f-350-ramptruck?_pos=1&_psq=ramp&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Can't be a F-350 4wd, that has the front suspension for a F-150 4wd. Roger is correct, to build a proper F-150 of that kit, you would need the standard bed, which is available from Kris Morgan at MAD.
-
Texas 3D Customs has a 73 grille that will work with this kit and back date it. If you are looking for 2WD wheels, 1/2 ton (5 lug) can be sourced from MAD. At one time he had some steel wheels with basic Ford truck hub caps. If you want 3/4 ton 8 lugs, the new Moebius F-250 has them, probably your best bet until Danny at Scenes Unlimited is back up and running.

mikemodeler replied to Mike C.'s topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Well, he is on here as Greg Wann, so it shouldn't be real hard........ So go to the search function on the top right, type in his name and under more options, search by member and he comes up. -
Looking for some 17”wheels

Send a message to Joseph at Fireball. He is working on new stuff all of the time and may have something in the works. He has been expanding his off road tire and wheel offering. -

Well it’s finally announced.?
mikemodeler replied to NYLIBUD's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not sure I understand your question, can you elaborate? -
So I took Gerry's tip and went to the website and was blown away at the high detail items offered. I placed an order on 8/16 and it arrived on 8/24, not bad coming from Spain to NC! Here's a sample of what I got. The first one is some marker lights, the second are some smaller Super Oscar Cibie off road lights.

Set up a table of kits to sell off at the CKM show in Clemmons NC Saturday. Shared the table with FatBrian and while he bought as much as he sold, I restrained myself and came home with a few more dollars than I left with. Had a great time talking to folks, got to meet Driptroit71 (Brian) and he was kind enough to buy some of my stuff I was selling.

Grill design requests
mikemodeler replied to Texas_3D_Customs's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Charles, Thank you for stepping up and working with Scott. I have a couple of questions: 1. Is Scott creating the file and you are doing the printing? I ask because on the S-10 grill I sent Scott a body and he designed it and had you print them. Not sure if you or him have the body but I would like it back (I did buy two grilles from you). 2. In the future, should we contact you beforehand to make sure one of us isn't requesting the same thing? Thanks! -

Careful, don't let our government know that cattle are the top emitters of methane, they will slap more taxes on our beef and I won't be able to buy a burger! -

Come on down South Rob, we have all kinds of older vehicles with barely any rust on them.
