  4. In case anyone was wonder... I am glad that is over with, it became a chore more than a relaxing experiences. I do hope to outline the panels still. The plan is to trim one of my pinstripe brushes and hand stripe them.
  5. Just starting here with some panels... Gotta ways to go yet. Thanks for commenting!
  6. I just kinda think there's more to the story than what's being told. The France Family Circus most go on!
  7. Thanks, basecoat is on.
  8. With this year in the books and Dale being sidelined with concussion issues, then sitting out the rest of the season. And the signing of Alex Bowman I wonder if something else could be going on. Dale in the booth and out of the car? Is the another issue that will force Jr's early retirement?
  9. A little mock up with some Alclad... Still have some body work to do before color.
  10. PAINT!
  11. More good imagineering taking place.
  12. Outstanding rendition!
  13. Thanks Dave, gonna try and make it Thur with it!
  14. Here's another update... After the semi chop and vent removal, I decided to add some material to the window opening. And a couple shots of the body with new trim. I need to figure something out for the grill soon.
  15. Looks like a good save. What is the problem with the 59 glass? I have simply hid the lower edge below the dash if that helps.
  16. Thanks for the interest guys. Here is a little update... Head Lights De-Chromed and some better wheels.
  17. As if I didn't have enough projects, here's one more. I guess you gotta strike while the iron is hot! And since the Vic is in waiting... I picked this up at the NNL National for cheap. I wanted to build another semi-mild custom some what like my 59 Buick. It was a perfect build up to start with, that is until I started disassembly. Things went well until I removed the glass. In hindsight I would have ground the infected area down completely and then took the glass out. But that would have been to easy! But back on track now, I soaked the pieces in Purple Power for a few days and then finished the taking there of apart, after which I began messaging the body. Clean up and a few custom changes to come including a mild chop and some Lucas Headlights, de-chroming and bumper adjusting too! Here is where the fun begins... Follow along if you like, http://s176.photobucket.com/user/fredjames_2007/library/62 300?sort=2&page=1
  18. I found one of these at the NNL Nationals and have begun modifying it. Your build is inspiring.
  19. Looks real interesting Gregg. I was unaware of this kit. I like what you are doing with it but about 20 other ideas ran through my head! Looks like a great kit to mix and bash with too.
  20. Yea, I've got to much time in it to ruin things now. I'm gonna like you say and step away for a time.
  21. This one has been fighting me the whole way. And just when I was making good progress, the painting of the body took a turn for the worse. Between a mistake on my part and a huge unexpected spittle from the airbrush I will be redoing the paint as well. It may not be anytime soon as I feel I should just box it up and let the emotional mishap drain out before rushing into another disaster. While it is disappointing I will press on. But not today, I'm played out!
  22. Fade Paint it is, base colors applied. Color to follow! Wait for it...
  23. Do you buy it in gal cans too?
