My 1st Big Rig "Blue Collar"

A little more frame cover and exhaust work. Made up a better support with braces and then removed the kit chrome and upper pipe from the mufflers. I used some styrene tubing, slash cut at 60deg. I may have to make my own header pipe but that's ok with me. I also added a recess for the airline connections. Thoughts? -

New Year day one tinkering and problem solving. Funny how the instructions are almost useless. But since I’m customizing it doesn’t matter. I’m just having fun…. -
This looks very nice, clean build and shiny smooth paint. And a Gasser!

Looking good. What kind of paint did you use for the interior? That is the flattest paint I've seen... -

Not much of an update, I'm still waiting on my final tire choice. I hope to get some from Mo’Luminum today. being the first semi build the learning curve is quite steep. I’ve had to do and redo things several times. The chassis, wheels and suspension seem finicky. But probably because I can’t build anything stock! The single hump fenders from Blacksheep are nice, the clean up was simple but the filling and smoothing has been time consuming. I like the grill and fitment. I also purchased the side steps along with the custom wheels. They did come with all brake drums and caps. The resin is very nice but brittle. I broke a wheel mounting a tire. Easily repaired and lessons learned. Differently not in a rush to finish this build. Anyway off to the local hobby shop (40mile) for supplies. -

One of my favorite Camaros. And my favorite GM color, IDEK why.....

Back on the bench. Working on the Lakes exhaust and pinning for fitment. If there is clearance I’ll add a cross over pipe at the trans mount. Very fiddly but the outcome should be acceptable. Also added a spear to the body line.

I have no idea what I'm looking at, but I LIKE IT! -
No, I hand painted them with Molotow Chrome and a very small brush I custom cut.

On the other hand, I have no plan to retire. I just turned 64 and every morning wake up well before the alarm, make coffee, get dressed and go to work. Not saying I wouldn't retire just don't have the plan (need) to....

Project “Y” I guess because “X” was taken. Revell California Wheels kit, tub made from script bottle, wheel/tires from the AMT 57 Corvette Gasser kit. Engine from the Rat Roadster by Revell, scratch built exhaust with x pipe. Stock interior with Ken’s Fuzzy Fur, BMF and several black sheens. Body is Testors Yellow enamel no clear, BMF trim and a scratch made scoop. I will say this was a fun one!

Thanks for the response, would that be a 22.5 in scale? Nice truck too. The wheels I purchased measure 23mm, the search for tires begins.

Could someone measure and post the inside diameter of these tires, please. Trying to check rim sizes, Thanks

Nicely done, it's a good-looking rig!
